| Both teams defended really well last week to win their cup games. I don't think either will be as good in that department this week, whoever drops off most from the level achieved last week in defence could prove the difference as both teams can score points this season.

| I think if we keep out discipline we should be fine, Hicks seems to be a ref that likes to punish teams for slowing down ptb, and offsides.

| In a way, it's a similar mindset needed defensively.
For Huddersfield, everything goes through Brough so you need to be in his face for 80 minutes to close him down and deny him space. Leeds (mostly) managed it until they put the cue on the rack late on.
For Rovers, everything goes through Campese. Kelly's a running threat, but all their important set plays revolve around Campese getting time and space on the ball. Leeds need to be similarly aggressive with him as they were with Brough.

| We have no pack tonight. All good, Walker, tilse, Lunt, Horne and Burke all out. Only Green and Cox as recognised props. It'll be a bloodbath.

We're a bit light on the bench (again) with both Sutcliffe and Burrow on it. No Delaney and JJB due to hamstring injuries. Another chance for Achurch to shine in his better role tonight (before he inevitably gets injured again in 3/4 weeks time)
Hardaker
Handley
Watkins
Moon
Hall
Sinfield
McGuire
Cuthbertson
Aiton
Peacock
Ward
Achurch
Ablett
Burrow
Sutcliffe
Walters
Singleton
Would've preferred to see either Mulhern or Yates on the bench for one of Sutcliffe/Burrow (mostly the latter) to balance it out more.

I would prefer Mulhern AND Yates ....instead of Burrow and Walters. A ridiculously light bench.
More lengthy spells for Peacock and Cuthbertson to further increase their chances of being shagged for the end of season run in.

That would leave you with a three prop bench which is one too many. Happy with a 2 prop, 1 back rower, 1 pivot bench ideally.

Well then start Singleton at loose and Ablett on the bench - same 17

| Good even game. Ref appeared to ignore a possible knock on on one of your tries and obstructed a tackle allowing another leeds try. Scoreline was flattering to Leeds tonight, although I have to admire your offloads. Top class. Missing conversions in first half killed us. We were ripping your left wing apart in first 20 mins until Sio had to be taken off. That's 10 on the sideline for us now. Regardless, an enjoyable game and good general atmosphere. And Burrow is still class.

| Not to try take anything away from HKR but I think we were our own worst enemy in that first half. How many times did HKR start sets around the halfway line? Too many. How many did they start 80/90m away from our line, not enough. All comes back to this attacking style, great when it sticks and comes off, when the knocks on occur on the 2nd/3rd tackle in midfield against a side like HKR who we know can score points then you're asking for trouble.
Whilst still not perfect in the 2nd half we did make them travel further on a few more occasions and it helped in the end. Several 'ok' performances but I don't think any one player actually stood out by a margin above the rest.

First time Ive seen Campese in the flesh and I was bitterly disappointed. Whilst everything does go through him all he did was hand the ball on. He was never a running threat and as such posed no threat. His kicks were poor as well, all usually taken on the full.
I was fairly entertained by the game. I though he were far better down the middle but they were more dangerous on the fringes, especially in the 1st half.

| Very typical of the majority of SL fodder these days. Leeds were able to throw the ball about with a great deal of concern full in the knowledge that if they tightened things up a little they would easily triumph. Hull KR tried hard which cannot have been easy after last week's effort and the injuries.
For Leeds I thought Ablett was good as was Stevie Ward. Cuthbertson showed some different facets to his game and Hall's ten pin hit on Cockayne and Sio was worth the admission money on its own.
