Stand Off or Full Back apparently. So McDermott's starting him in the second row tomorrow night.

| Very surprised given that his Brothers play for you aswell.
What's his best position and how much of a "prospect" is he?

| I've only seen him play once. About 2/3 months ago. June/July ish. Was hammering it down and very scrappy but he did a good job. They convincingly beat us anyway. I was watching him like a hawk (coincidentally) all match, mainly because of his surname. He didn't blow me away but in his defence it wasn't really that sort of game. He was certainly very solid with ball in hand, even in very wet conditions. He played 6 that day. Apparently he can play FB too.

I can't claim I know a great deal about him, listening to other posters on our Board who watch the kids regularly this sums him up well, a good prospect but not one of the stand out players in the team, we have better prospects than him currently at that level but still dissapointed to lose him.

Looks like nantwichexile has finally got through to McDermott with his campaign to giving the young ones a chance!
I wish him all the best but I’d like to see Martin Gleeson at our club if he can sort his personal problems out. He’d be a terrific centre for us!

A lot of Wigan fans were disappointed to see him go. Especially after his two try display at Old Trafford last year. He could do a brilliant job for us when Kallum Watkins is injured.

| We've been here before with Sam Burgess less talented brother and Ade Gardener's less talented brother.

Been there, done that. Dissapointing to see one of the talented Briscoes off.

A nice little parting shot from Kath perhaps? We will never know I guess...god she winds me up! We clearly had a system with our youngsters which was not watertight and that's down our her. Ironic really. We should have had this guy signed up. At least our new owner will ensure this does not happen again.
From the people I've spoken to the general consensus is Luke is not as highly rated as Jack or Tom, but only time will tell with these things. He could turn out to be a world beater.
