Would be suprised if all such fines issued by the club to players however serious aren't accumulated over a year and split between nominated charities.

The punishment is appropriate, hope that Bailey has learnt his lesson. If there is a further incident involving Bailey then he should be shipped out immediately.
Lets look forward to his MOM performances causing as much discussion.

If it was Bailey's idea to send 250 to Japan and not part of the punishment then well done to him. In these circumstances the club should send the 1000 to the Japan disaster fund. (or maybe half to Christchurch?)

As for the punishment it's a fair call. If someones going to spread childish stuff treat them like a child, a naughty letter and hand back the pocket money!
