The intent was there. When Senior kicked out in the tackle in the CC, which was a 1000% UNintentional the Wigan fans we're calling for a ban. What happens when a player kicks on purpose? Ref bottled it.

Can someone describe what happened? Was he playing the ball, or was he a tackler? Did he connect with the kick? Where? On whom?

Joel Tomkins tackle McGuire. Tomkins stood up, McGuire was still on the floor, Tomkins was unhappy about something - god knows what and decided to have a kick at him. Didn't connect but everyone saw it. Penalty was given. Not even on report (not tht it matters)

Tomkins tackled Mcguire, looked high but I've only seen the challenge once and stand to be corrected. Tomkins holds down Mcguire. Mcguire tries to get Tomkins off his back and pushes a hand out. Tomkins duly kicks at him.

It's ok though. According to Phil Clarke the kick wasn't hard so doesn't deserve punishment

On Sky, Tomkins appears to say "he slapped me". I don't know where though, as it's been shown at least 3 times and I can't see it.

Yep. It's incredible what Sam Tomkins get's the referee's to do. I notice with Tomkins its clever, Burrow asking the referee to give an offside is snitching.
