The club call will be interesting this year. After all, it was pretty obvious who Leeds would pick last year. This time? It would take a very brave team to pick Leeds or St Helens out as their preferred opponents if it came to that.

As long as the team with the choice plumps for the team they would have met anyway (ie lowest qualifier) then they should minimise the added incentive to their opposition.

Whoever they pick is going to use the 'they fancy their chances against us so lets show 'em' spiel anyway.

Not sure why top 4 is seen as so vital unless the week 1 match can be won. Under the new system the teams finishing 3 and 4 have a played 4 lost 4 record.

Reaching the play offs fit and firing is more important than final position.

25 points converts to leaking 4 trys. On average that's letting in one try per quarter. In a game which KR totally dominated I don't think the points we leaked were a concern. The main concerns to me was the poor completion rate (handling errors, poor passing etc) and our general kicking game.

As a whole this year our defence has been poor, very poor infact. So I am in part agreement with you.

We will lose another 2 probably. I think Hull might lose 3, but let's hope they do.
