| Nope, sadly it's been and gone, went in April. Not that it wasn't doing well, it was doing too well for the other cafes etc in the airport, who objected to its presence, costing them business.

Im not suprised TBH, the food court in LBA is nothing short of abysmal. Fish and chips is is then.

| Starting to worry about my breakfast as well now. As we don't land until 5:30pm, so won't be able to eat until 7:30pm or so (not counting the slop they refer to as 'food' on the aircraft) I think we may take extra butties for breakfast!
I guess I've been spoilt by Manchester, Gatwick and Heathrow over the years

| tbh an overpriced sausage sarnie & coffee is all part of the going on hols routine, last few times we went there was a eastern european bloke on the cafe check out, who cracks on to the mrs a bit, and trys a few funnies which seem to get lost in translation, she's not the happiest of flyers and nigh on 20 years experience tells me she doesn't do 6am funnies, so you can see the tumbleweed drift past the till.

| Quote flipper="flipper"tbh an overpriced sausage sarnie & coffee is all part of the going on hols routine.'" Exactly. 7/8quid each on a breakfast/dinner etc is just the norm. All part of going through an airport.
I was in WHSmiths in Manchester Airport in May and this lass on the checkout at 10am was getting peeved at how many people complained about the price. She said to me "wish they would shut up, it's a f00king airport, they should expect it to be over priced".
I asked her how long she had worked there. She said "about an hour and half"
I don't think she'll be working there now as I type this.

| Quote Thelonius="Thelonius"Next week I am taking the better half to Cyprus for a week. We are flying from Leeds/Bradford for the first time and as we have an early(ish) flight we are staying at the airport Travelodge Hotel the night before.
Quick question - is there anywhere to eat, other than the airport? Breakfast isn't a problem as we can get something after checking in at the airport, I just need to know whether or not we need to eat before we leave home, or take butties. We are getting a lift over to the airport so we won't have a car.
Thanks in advance.'"
As someone else has pointed out the only food outlets other than the airport are a good 15 to 20 minute walk away at Murgatroyds + Brewers Fayre + a.n.other chippie which are all situated at a traffic light junction on the main road.
It is a good long walk though, they are on the opposite side of the airport to the Travelodge so you have to do a big circle around it, if you're not into walking then use one of the several taxis that park in the Travelodge car park since you can't park anywhere within ten miles of the place now (another reason why I won't use airports).
If you're walking then turn right as you come out of the TL, walk past the airport until you come to a roundabout on the main road, turn left and continue on that road through the tunnel under the runway and just when you think you've walked too far you'll find the next junction and your food outlets.
Just don't take a wrong turning as you're in the middle of nowhere, if I see you walking past my house I'll turn you around and send you back
