I think its Gary Stevens (Senior) he did a year or so as an assistant coach under Maurice Bamford during that spell IIRC.
He was the one who told the Hunslet Parkside Juniors coach that Jason Robinson was to small to play RL...... 
The old Wigan Scout (name escapes me ATM) didnt think so. |

It was the 1984/85 season when Brett Kenny and Chicka Ferguson were at Wigan, Mal Meninga was at St Helens and Peter Sterling was at Hull. Good times, only not quite so good at Leeds but that was nothing new.
