19 year old Trout is a good prospect but he’s not ready to be a starting Super League back rower week in week out.

With potentially Ferres, JJB, Ablett and Donaldson leaving, that would leave us four 2nd rows down on this year, which has been a disaster season. I’d say signing a 2nd rower would be a good idea.

I don't agree, Trout and Walters are first class and will be a year older stronger and more experienced. We also have Muizz. No panic in the second row

When everyones fit our back row, I think, would be Ward, Martin and Merrin + Mellor for next year. We have Cam Smith for another year, and Sutcliffe seems to be picked every week.
We definitely could do with an upgrade somewhere, but we've also got Trout, Mustapha, Alex Sutcliffe, McConnell and Walters who are coming through and arent getting games yet.
We seem big on numbers and low on quality

JJB and ablett out would make zero difference except to free up cap for someone who might play more than a handful of games.

Liam Sutcliffe and Cam Smith have been playing most weeks this year and we’re joint bottom of the league, we need more strength in the back row than the players you’ve mentioned otherwise we are 1 injury away from looking weak.

Before Trout, Mustapha, Alex Sutcliffe, McConnell and Walters come into the first team they should be playing at Fev for a year, Super League is a big leap from the 19’s
