If he was going to get the sack it had to be sooner rather than later, give whatever money is available to the new manager.

Poyet is nailed on IMO, unfortunately.

The defensive players have as much to blame, but we can not do another year in Div 3, if we don't get out now, we may never do it. Such a great club playing the likes of Yeovil, cheltenham is hard to take.

The bottom line is that you've got to question McAllister's appointment in the first place. He didn't exactly break any pots at Coventry when he was in charge there and you need someone with a lower division pedigree to get you out of the current league.

Since the club doesn't have a great deal of money, someone that can wheel and deal on the market, rather than spend. Someone who has got enough clout to ring a few Premiership clubs and get some fringe players on loan and someone with decent knowledge of the overseas market to get some 'Bosmans' from abroad in for nothing, who can do a job and are attracted to the name of the club.

The likes of Allardyce and Warnock, English managers with decent records, are both time served lower division managers at the likes of Bolton, Scarborough and Notts County. OK, they may not have made them great clubs but got them promoted and all their squads punch above their weight.

Leeds need to find someone similar.

On the other hand, if players are slacking, you could always get Roy Keane in ....
