| Excellent crowd. Glad this game wasn't on Sky.

| Quote: Trojan Horse "Think both teams were full of effort, in fact from Wakey and Leeds it was top class and the defence was very good from both. But in terms of attack both teams were woefull. I think that's down to Leeds had inexperienced halfs and we had only tim smith and it was strange we played with no number 6 really.
A game to applaud the effort and defence of both teams but to be critical of in attack.'"
That's pretty much how I saw it too.
I think Leeds were going sideways too often in attack and needed someone to straighten up and just take the ball in (or run a line)

No you're wrong, the reaction from the Wakefield fans was either to get a rise out of me or sour grapes. They certainly wouldn't go onto a forum and post about it, Trojan Horse says so.

Abolutely. Got sick of seeing Burrow crab along the line with nobody offering a decent direct run to offset it (still not sure Burrow would have passed however)
If not for the individual brilliance of Leeds' two centres I'm pretty sure Leeds would have lost against an equally hapless Wakefield. Who said SL standards are not slipping????
I enjoyed the trip up to Leeds and glad we didn't leave heading for the game much later: only just got a parking spot on my usual road and North stand tickets after assuming there would not be much of a crowd!! Whoops !
GH should pray to god(s) more often for good weather

| I think we needed 2 points to keep our grip on 4th (3rd is more or less gone and I'd still rather finish 4th than 5th whatever sme might say) and we got them. Which was good.
Other than that, as others have said a lot of effort on show, but poor execution on attack. I actually don't think Wakey are a bad side this year, and have looked a threat in attack when I've seen them. I don't think they'll perform that badly going forward next week, so if we want another 2 points, we'll have to play better.

Wakie spent alot of their juice with their line speed in defence and it worked for the most part, Leeds couldn't bust them down the middle. So our poor execution was partly down to their workrate in defence and pushing us out wide.

I think you'll find that no other team appears interested in finishing 4th in SL. Some are in fact doing their level best to avoid finishing 4th at all costs... the Whipping Boy French Fancying SL Rabble immediately spring to mind. You'd assume they'd make it less obvious by not losing away at Salford but I guess they've learnt from Leeds regular season visit to their midden last season for inspiration.

Wakey struggled with ball retention.
You cant win too many SL games with 50-60 % completion rates !
