| Having thought about this a bit more, I'm unconvinced that fatigue has played a major role in our substantial list of injuries.
It seems much more likely that conditioning of the players could be the root of the problem. It's been fairly well documented that our players are conditioned to peak at various points of the season. The flipside is that the team is in sub-optimal condition for much of the season. If, as in the last couple of seasons, the team takes its foot off the gas during these periods then it seems that few injuries accrue. The difference this season has been, at least in my view, that the team has played with a high level of commitment - perhaps while lacking the level of fitness/conditioning required to reduce the risk of injury.
Of course, it could just as easily be bad luck.

| Wigan seem to have 9 of their first team squad out too. Is that also bad management I wonder?

It's McDermott over-playing them, that's the reason players get injured isn't it?

Wigan it appears to me do like to play with a fairly high level of intensity over the full eighty (unaware that Leeds were also doing this before reading Clearwing's thoughtful post) so if they are also preparing their players with at times sub-optimal conditioning it's perhaps little wonder they are also suffering a comparatively high rate of attrition when set against the SL average of 4.1

Look how well they did despite that. First choice 6 9 and 13 out, as well as a weakened pack yet they still nearly beat a full strength warrington on their own patch.
In a couple of weeks when we are in a similiar position i'd imagine we'd have the cleaners put trhoguh us.

| on a positive note jjb has got his recovery period mentally "dialled in" and will be back playing in good time for the warm up sl games prior to the commencement of the play off series.
it's a shame that he's now out injured as he's clearly been one of our best players this season along with delaney and hardaker

Wow - your loyalty is admirable, stretching it a lot to say he has been anywhere near the performance level of Hardaker.

| In spite of our current coach"s GF record , it is impossible to defend some of his brainless decisions in flogging players to death - every coach has now realised that a team cannot play at its peak for 26 rounds & then win the GF. So why
does he -
1. keep JP on the field at Bradford with 15 minutes to go when we are 20 points in front - in that time he does his knee - and he is still not fully fit today
2. At Huuddersfield on Sunday - the game was gone with 15 minutes to go - why did he keep JP on the field - was Baldwinson not fit enough to do more than 4 minutes - brainlees coaching.
3. We play Hudds for the 3rd time & he has still not worked out that you need to stop Brough - we did not get near him for 80 minutes on Sunday - has he not noticed the pressure / hits put on Sir Kev these days , with or without the ball. Warrington played The Giants played Warrington a few weeks ago & it took Westwwood 5 minutes to flatten Brough - it is not rocket science - but a boi too deep for our coach.
4. Finally on tactics - when we have one of the best centres in the league , do we not have one move when we win the ball at the scrum - every time, we bring a man back inside towards the scrum - it drives me mad - come back Webby !!!!!!!!
