| It's interesting that Snadercock's position will be considered after Easter.
No pressure there then.
FWIW my money's on Vievers.

| How is Vievers even in this conversation? The man has had no money to buy anyone, his squad has been decimated by players leaving. Surely he has to be one of the safest jobs in SL as there cannot be any expectation on him or his team??

On the basis of new owner, new management team wanting to put their own stamp on the organisation.
I'm not saying it's fair or even justified that Vievers should be sacked, simply stating my opinion.

| The new owner has come out and said how happy he is witht he current coaching setup and that he will back Vievers. Which if you read the papers and the amount of players Salford are set to sign when takeover is announced. It seems strange you would sign all these guys who are coming to play for him then to sack him?? Doesn't make sense

Anderson is a good choice, probaly about 6th game in.Will walk straight into the vacant slot at Headingley and Mcdermott will end up at Huddersfield.

On that basis McDermott will be first.

| It does seem odd that Vievers has been blamed for Salford having a dreadful squad. The only way it will make sense is if they get someone like Tim Sheens in to replace him, as that would be a real statement of intent (despite the fact that Tigers fans have been very critical of Sheens for a number of years). Sheens as coach may well make a few players rethink Salford's prospects.
The choice of Salford's next coach will tell us a lot about whether their new owner is going to deliver a decent team or whether it's all a lot of hot air.

Well I think it will be the later.
He wants silverwear by the end of the year. Which is totally unrealistic.
And he has also promised his fans they won't see another performance like their last again. with another game quickly coming up and over the course of a long season I don't know how he dare make such a sweeping statement.
With shocking attendance figures, a poor start, no coach etc maybe he's trying to convince himself he's made a sound investment.

| Would be great for the game to have a successful side in Salford (Manchester) and given time I'd like to think it could happen but everyone (including the new owner) needs to be realistic - it's not something that can or will happen overnight.
I don't particularly understand the logic of removing Veivers at this point (albeit his post-match interviews have come across as a little shrug shoulder casual) only to put Alan Hunte in charge but perhaps all will become apparent with a new full-time appointment.

I know Sheens has been mooted but tbh some of the good Doc's transfer targets have been so out of the ballpark that I wouldn't be surprised to see him try something much more speculative - perhaps a Shaun Edwards or Ellery Hanley-type target.

| Tim Sheens would make sod all difference.
Salford are a collection of Championship standard players running around in SL every week. Expecting them to finish any higher than 13th this season would be unrealistic, no matter how rich their owner might be.
