If someone logs on and posts a comment its seen at face value on here, if the poster is prepared to make him/herself look like an idiot just to get some replies then thats probably because they are an idiot - and there is nothing more to it than that.
The concepts of "bites" and "trolling" show a nerdy self-depreciating lack of self esteem, the thought that a person would, for example, walk into a pub tap room and say something outrageous just to get everyone in the room to hate him/her and/or to make him/herself look like a total simpleton tells you everything you need to know about the sorts who do that behind anonymity.
