Probably. Doesn't that come with the territory when you coach a champion team?

| Never been his greatest fan, but believe he gives the Club 100 percent Mcdermott. But now with the every growing injury list you have to question his recruitment policy. For several years we have needed a new half back, a front row with the average age of 33 is open to question because of the risk of injuries. Throughout the super league there are props that Leeds let go, come Back a fit Burgess from down under I wish. Vickery I am sure he is a nice person but he just cannot play the game, must be the worst Winger in the history of the club. Yes we have won things but this has been down to special performance by players in particular Sir Kev.
I think it is time to say thank yo for everything Brian but it is time to go, and bring a coach in, who will change and rebuild the team.

| The last time Leeds lost four on the trot was under Tony Smith in 2006, Leeds then lost a fifth.
That spell was 16th July to the 11th August and was bookended by a pair of two point victories. The losses (in sequence) were against Castleford, St Helens, Huddersfield (CC), Hull and Wigan.
When you look back to that run in 2006 the only team missing from this current run of losses is Castleford ....... I wonder who Leeds will be facing next weekend.
This barely adequate squad is being put to the test (as it was always likely to be at some stage) under a coach who doesn't show much faith in the famed Leeds production line at his disposal. The CEO has ensured this decline in standards will continue as he's skilfully retained his 'best ever' squad virtually en masse for 2014.
The only saving grace is the current system that allows teams to be under-resourced, poorly coached and managed, put in tired/mediocre performances and still be able to make the play-offs where the players can then get in a huddle, look each other in the eye and do it for themselves.

Vickery is the worst winger I have seen in a Leeds shirt. And that includes John Basnett, Vince Fawcett, Pat Mitchell and a host of others. Eddie Rombo, Norman Francis come back, all is forgiven!!!!!!!!

| If you think McDermott is in complete charge of the recruitment/retention policy at Leeds, given your head a shake.

| We need a coach with fresh ideas and one that will keep a professional distance from certain key players and will be prepared to drop ANY player that is not performing .

How long have you been watching Leeds ?
Trust me there are far more worthy candidates for 'Worst Ever Leeds Player' ...

...Thanks for reviving all those god awful suppressed memories: but you're right. Vickery has to be the worst yet.

| Fawcett was good at times, just had butterfingers. Basnett was solid but slow and a big letdown for a major signing. I used to like stormin' Norman as I watched him in the Colts. I can't really defend Pat Mitchell and Eddie Rombo though. Although Mitchell did score a touchline conversion once.
Back on topic, at some point Leeds will need to make some tough decisions about older players. They did that with both Senior and Lauti'iti. It just feels at the moment as though they are desperately trying to put them off, instead of biting the bullet and drawing a line under some players' time at Leeds. Wanting to keep a true great like JP as long as possible is understandable, but the re-signing of Kirke (and to an extent Leuluai) seems a bit odd to me.
GH was plainly unhappy with league form last year, fifth was definitely not his target, and I don't think he'll be at all pleased if this season fades to nothing. I wouldn't be surprised if he made some big moves - in and out - at the end of the year if it does go pear-shaped.

Senior's move was precipitated by his serious injury, Webb and Lauiti'ti's by their perceived fragility and inability to string a run of games together.
Perhaps the same may happen with McGuire, but unless something similar happens to the likes of Sinfield and Burrow I think they are going to be allowed to determine their own retirement dates.

Tony Smith's first act in charge of team selection at Leeds was to axe Francis Cummins for the opening game of the 2004 season.
It was merited - should have happened a long time before IMO - but I think Smith would have done it regardless if only for the message it sent out - it ended a run of 179 consecutive Cummins selections dating back to the the rump end of 1998 and included five complete seasons under three different coaches.

| I come in peace.
From an outsider looking in Leeds looked beat up and tired on Friday and have for the last few games I've seen on sky. That said the quality of players on Leeds roster is not in question and hopefully for you guys and BM (who I like as a coach) this exiles break can freshen things up for the players not involved and help you get a few bodies back.

I thought we looked good against Wigan but the other games have been poor.
Not all Leeds fans are running around screaming in blind panic, this time last year wigan put 50 on us at headingley, we are out of form and carrying a few knocks that's all, we certainly are not favorites to win it again just now but I imagine we will be putting up a good fight when the play offs start.
