I could regurgitate the exact same post as last year if I could be bothered looking for it but basically it said.
This is the pay-off system that we have to contend with. If it were different then clubs and coaches would approach it differently. Getting your team to peak at the very end of the season is what every coach is aiming for (Huddersfield excluded who seem to do the inverse).
If it were first past the post coaches would aim to have a consistent approach to each game instead of saving their best performances for the last few games of the season.

The fact of the matter is, if other teams (or their fans) aren't happy about us being crowned Champions, then they (Wigan and Wire in particular) should have trained longer, played smarter and tried harder to beat us. If they really were the better teams, they shouldn't have found that too difficult should they?

18-1 was the record of the 2007/8 Patriots in the NFL, that 1 loss was in the Superbowl meaning they won nothing.
New York Giants record was 10-6, they didn't even win their division but they won the Superbowl. Are you seriously going to tell me that they aren't the "true" champions because a team had a better record? They and all the other teams know the system before the start of the season and they played it and were champions, just like us. Football and cricket are pretty much the only sports that decide their champions by first past the post and even in football you get playoffs for promotion slots.
