| Quote Rogues Gallery="Rogues Gallery"The touchjudge held his ground and signalled no try, that was why Alibert went to the screen. In a normal non-televised game the try would not have been given.'"
I'd actually go the opposite way and say that had it been a non-televised game the try would have been given. Without the potential for reviewing it with the VR I don't think any touch judge would have been confident enough to rule that out. I highly doubt the TJ said to Alibert that it was a def knock on but suggested reviewing it with the VR, if there's no VR then that gets given as a try IMO, even though it would have been wrong.

deluding myself how can a team that did not win super league be classed as the greatest ever team ! wigan of the late 80s early 90s were great with very little opposition

I think this is the best post I've ever read on RLFANS.
The "greatest team of the SL era" is a side that finished 2nd and got knocked out in the 5th round of the cup (by Div 1 salford!)
Do you have any other pearls of wisdom you can share with us??

And didn't cheat RL rules to do it ... Oh, no.

If you go there, they'll even try and convince you in their tourist brochures that they 'invented' Marks & Spencers, but we all know different don't we ?

And ultimately, how did you 'pay' for all that success ?
How is Central Park these days ?

We most certainly do,and if they created Marks and Spencer's they certainkly have a poor excuse for a Marks and Spencer's store.I once got to Central park early and took a walk round the town centre,Pudsey and Morley was more impressive

| Quote SmokeyTA="SmokeyTA"Because a team which didnt get close to Warrington or Huddersfield has pushed Wigan all the way twice.'"
Think that says more about your teams effort and heart in some of your other games rather than our worry! Not played well twice and got 3 points off you sign of a good side! Huddersfield didnt get close to us so that theory is out!
No moans with how you played you came and did what we have been doing to other teams (however it wasnt our chairman saying that wasnt how to play!)
Shame Danny missed with his drop goal attempt at the end would have been a crucial point for you!

Did you know that Marks and Spencer's first "proper" shop, as opposed to a market stall, was in Wigan?
It was in the Makinson's Arcade. It is a cafe now.
