| I think we should remain realistic for 2020 - there will perhaps be some contracted players we can move on, and maybe not. We should have a chunk of cap available but we don't know how much, or if anyone from this year has been "back-ended" into next year etc.
Maloney or Sezer would be an interesting one. Martin for me probably ends our search for backrowers as someone else mentioned.

| G Burgess banned for 9 games, ruling him out of Soutgs regular season.
Time for us to go in?
Not quota, wants to play at Leeds... would give our pack a different physical dimension.
Would happily swap a few prop squad players for him personally, especially with Holroyd and Dupree waiting in the wings.

| Much as it’s not a pretty case for the ban, he is generally the kind of player we need in our front row. He’d have to stop the gouging obviously...

| I dunno - with all the media over there, his disciplinary record catching up a bit, and the prospect of playing against his brothers for another club in the NRL... if we can get the money right it could be doable.
We just lack a bit of “whack” in D for me still in the forwards.

| Am I right in thinking we actually have a quota place available? As Martin counts as NFT only?

| I think we'd have to be pretty cautious going in for G Burgess. He's not been great the last couple of seasons, and just because he is an NRL front rower, doesn't mean he will set the world alight over here. His stats are pretty shocking, his body is crocked and we'd end up paying over the odds for him... Not saying we shouldn't, but definitely need to proceed with caution.

There are risks with him too you’re right. Not sure who else would fit the bill... the club might feel that we have enough already at prop.

George can't play more than 20 minutes a game now. He's done. He'd be a disastrous signing, on name only.

Only JJB and Ferres out of contract at the end of the season, the others are still in contract. I cannot see them trying to off load either of Handley or Peteru, have no idea regarding Cuthbertson (but he had is best game to date this season on Sunday). Ablett has another year left, regarding Crosby, I was advised that there is no way that Crosby will be leaving Leeds this year after what he has gone through. (I have absolutely no idea what this lad has either had or gone through and everyone has been tight lipped and rightly so). No other signings for this season are in the planning stage.

Abletts deal was a one year plus one year. I know announced as two, but it did have break clause on the first year to be renewed, which I believe was based on number of appearances and would have been automatic had he played. Not saying that means he is off, but it does give the club a choice.

| More than happy to say goodbye to Ferres, Ablett and JJB and look at bringing in a prop and a halfback.
Stay with what we have until next season and go from there.

NFT - Cuthbertson, Martin, Peteru, Hurrell
NFT OQ - Merrin, Seumanufagai, Lui
Exempt - Albert
Whilst we have an overseas quota spot available, we don’t have a non fed trained spot, so we wouldn’t be able to bring in a overseas quota player, unless we released an NFT player IE Cuthbertson or Peteru
