| Quote MjM="MjM"Quite a habit full stop. Leeds coaches who have lost at Cas away:
Brian McDermott
Brian McClennan
Tony Smith
Daryl Powell
Dean Lance
Graham Murray =#0000BF(never won at Wheldon Road as Leeds coach)
Dean Bell =#0000BF(never won at Wheldon Road as Leeds coach)
Doug Laughton
David Ward
(beyond that I can't recall)
Anyone know of the last coach to finish a stint at Leeds who didn't lose there?'"
I'd have offered Doug Laughton but you have him on the list of losing coaches so I'm unsure.
If not Laughton, Malcolm Clift never lost there, nor did Maurice Bamford during his first stint in charge.

Having double checked it seems almost inconceivable but somehow Laughton managed to go four victorious seasons down t'lane. Further proof that Douglas is the finest Leeds coach of the past 25 years.

You just have this on your desktop ready to copy and paste now don't you?
Actually, I'm a bit disappointed by the lack of "McDermott Out" "Team past it" "Hethrington out" "season in ruins" threads on here this morning. Surely people aren't starting to learn lessons?

I was similarly dissapointed with the lack of a "can we go the whole season unbeaten" thread after last week's win.
Standards are slipping on substandard.

Perhaps it's the realisation (finally!) that the regular season games are meaningless, therefore why would anyone care or even bother to generate a thread about going the whole season unbeaten? Does anyone really give a toss about losing to Cas?
Finishing 5th two seasons running and still winning the SL title is going to have consequences which aren't just restricted to the slipping standards of the team itself during the regular season.

They are not meaningless if you don`t end up in the 8.

If that was the case I'd assume they were more meaningless. Just ask Bradford the last few years

| I wonder if we now have 'Rhinos' fans now questioning Mr McDermott again after four defeats on the bounce?

Probably. Doesn't that come with the territory when you coach a champion team?

| Never been his greatest fan, but believe he gives the Club 100 percent Mcdermott. But now with the every growing injury list you have to question his recruitment policy. For several years we have needed a new half back, a front row with the average age of 33 is open to question because of the risk of injuries. Throughout the super league there are props that Leeds let go, come Back a fit Burgess from down under I wish. Vickery I am sure he is a nice person but he just cannot play the game, must be the worst Winger in the history of the club. Yes we have won things but this has been down to special performance by players in particular Sir Kev.
I think it is time to say thank yo for everything Brian but it is time to go, and bring a coach in, who will change and rebuild the team.
