We are improving, and as I say it's heartening to see what we do in training manifest itself come game day. 

On the refereeing, it's an important point, much wider than one game. This isn't disagreeing with his interpretation of a rule,; it's a clear case of him either not knowing the rule or choosing to disregard it. He'd sent Palasia to the bin only some 6 or 7 minutes earlier. As they are so very keen to tell the players, there is no mitigation for his decision. That there were 10 seconds left is irrelevant. Do referees have a difficult job? Of course they do, but they really lay themselves wide open to justified criticism with fundamental issues like this. The powers that be need to get a grip, and quickly. 

Some of the negativity is crazy.
Yeh we make some mistakes and look clunky in attack at times.
But just remember what we've been watching for the last 2 seasons (and more....).


I'm loving watching this pack compete with the best there is.
I'm actually looking forward to, rather than dreading, playing the top teams.
We're undoubtedly top 6 contenders.


And we have a proper coach, who knows the game and knows how to coach and prepare a team.
I would suggest we all enjoy it while he's here, cos it might not be for long.

Whilst loosing the last 10 seconds is frustrating the main problem is ourselves. Yes the ref made an error but we could and probably should have managed it better. Yes the yellow was imo soft but that's the way it's being reffed all year so no problems there (though don't like how players are overreacting to small incidents in hope of getting players in greater trouble). A week off now and hopefully some games we should be winning 

Disappointing of course but after a loss at least nowadays there's a foundation to build on, and I think if we do this a little bit better or this goes our way we'd have won. Whereas before, I was watching us lose and thinking, I don't even know where we go from here. I don't understand how we're even attempting to build a consistent team. Now it's very obvious, defence and pack is solid for the most part. If the attack gets a bit better, we'll win quite a few.



Also, we're certainly not missing Frawley or Ackers, keep them far away from the squad. I can't watch anymore of Frawley's kicks that remind me of pre-match warm-ups for the backs.

Another positive performance, pack again held their own against a pack we've struggled against in the past. Defence great in the first half, really pinned them back in their own half. 


Attack showed positive signs, Hall's try especially, lots of bodys in motion, something we havent seen for a while. Still lots to work on though.


Ref was pretty poor for both teams, such a soft yellow. 

A 50% win rate is usually playoffs contender standard, hence why we're 7th

So many positives. Could have done with just a little more luck.


Tom Holroyd gifting Warrington another set on our goal line after jumping out in front of the referee was pretty criminal. Keep our heads there and we might have seen them out. Instead they score on the next set. I don't want to overreact to an individual mistake, but in the wider context of his recent performances he needs to improve his discipline a lot faster otherwise he's out of the side when the likes of Cam Smith is fit, IMO.


Lisone has become the new scapegoat I see. Well, aside from him knocking on at the PTB (which wasn't clearly a knock on to me), I don't think he was bad against Warrington. I agree he's one of our least effective forwards and shouldn't be retained on past and current form. But let's not get carried away.

I dont think Lisone was that bad on Friday and the incorrect play of the ball was harsh, hes not playing many minutes but he doesnt choose when he comes off. Hes clearly 5th choice prop this year and you'd imagine he wont be here next year.

Were deffo showing some green shoots as it were.


Just a little bit more finesse / and or intelligence and we come away with another close, hard fought win.


Kudos for Warrington not throwing the towel in and pushing us all the way, a bit of a rub of the green at the end and we get the win.


Im not going to say losing is acceptable, but a year ago Warrington bend us over at half speed. Yes they had players missing, yes they'll be stronger later on in the season but if we can just knock off the lapses well be in and around the playoffs with a chance to upset some "more fancied" teams. Its slowly going in that hard work pays off so here's hoping a week off and recharge we can come out firing after a tough run of games.

Really high quality game and first half was especially good. Understand the frustration of some, but I can fully take a loss like that. Two evenly matched teams scoring three tries each, seperated by goal kicking.
Thought our defence and forward pack were amazing, and the attack looked like it was gelling too. There were a few errors, but no performance will be perfect. I'm just glad we've found a way of competing with the better teams in the comp. Wigan last week could have easily gone the other way, and so could this.

I'm expecting Leigh and Hull FC to drop in form at some point. We've been through a pretty difficult run of games, and not looked out of place at all. Plenty to work on, but think we'll see a good season from the team.

From what I can tell from the disciplinary notes Palaasia isn't even mentioned. 
Dufty and Vaughan are the only players named from the Wire game. Not sure if that means sin binning was sufficient or that he has been found blameless?
