The game I had in mind was Harlequins V St Helens where James Child, correctly in my view, warned Louis McCarthy-Scarsbrook on several occasions (including a final warning on the run) and then penalised him on his next play the ball. The integrity of the play the balls in that game involving St Helens was far higher than the one I witnessed yesterday controlled by Phil Bentham.
I'd like to see the officials (especially the so called full time ones in SL) giving a consistent interpretation in this area. The roll back with the hand and step over with the foot removes yet another basic skill from the game and helps to distort the fair balance between the attacking and defensive aspects of the game IMO.

The big problem with the play of the ball is it's inconsistent sometimes giving penalties sometimes complete ingnoring it. Same with 2 feet level with the ref. It always annoys me because there is no consistency even during games with these decisions

Why did this hurt your feelings so much? I never played down our performances. I praised saints, but then they were worthy of the praise at the time. This seemed to really upset you and other posters because you can't stop going on about it. |

Watch Terry Halibut next time he adjudicates a game – he very seldom checks the line while Thaler will often take a glance.
It’s the inconsistencies between them that makes it frustrating. |

It didn't upset me at all,you claimed to be a Leeds fan yet played down our performances and was tugging over them,give a team fair praise/criticism by all means but you were in full "Phil Clarke" mode and knocking our team at the same time so don't deny it. |

He was trolling but it backfired when Leeds came back to win the grand final and as per usual he had his ar5e handed to him. |

To remind you of the bollox you posted in the past when you come on here telling people to "get real" and stating with some kind of authority of where we will finish or can only finish when it clearly isn't the case.
You want to be pessimistic and put a downer on things fine but don't deny what you've posted before or give it the "get real" cr#p when you are picked up on it or disagreed with. |
