No suprise. It was an [iok[/i gimmick to start off with, derby games being the attarction. But not many people want to treck all the way up to scotland to see run of the mill games. Most rugby league fans aren't upper class with lot's of money and trips like this cost money.
I don't see how it promotes the game in scotland. It just forces die hards to treck far to see a run of the mill game.

The same RLFannies moan about attendances at internationals but they probably don't goto them either.'"
We're commenting on what would make it more appealing for us to go.

I get what you mean about derby games being more of an attraction but we all know any game can be a cracker. Where you at the Wakey v Leeds match a couple of season back when we scored 16 points in the last 8 mins and Donald went over on the hooter with Sinfield adding the 2 to win it? Hardly a run of the mill game and it'd be cracking to see something like that again on Saturday.

| Murrayfield Magic Day One
[13 Bradford Bulls v Crusaders Rugby League
[15 Hull FC v Harlequins Rugby League
[17 Salford City Reds v Warrington Wolves
[19 Leeds Rhinos v Wakefield Trinity Wildcats
Murrayfield Magic Day One
[14 Castleford Tigers v Catalans Dragons
[16 Wigan Warriors v Huddersfield Giants
[18 St Helens v Hull Kingston Rovers
i think most of those matches could be pretty competitive. i knoe they didnt seem so when they were announced, but given the form of some of the teams this year i think its going to be a good weekend.

Really? Wigan v Hudds looks a belter to me. Cas v Catalans will be tense and Saints v Hull KR is usually a very entertaining game.
The Saturday looks pretty dull though.

The Sunday does look better. Wigan vs Hudds being the highlight. You vs Hull KR would've been attractive but KR are pretty dire atm.
I think the RFL should go back to the derbies for this concept. They were right to stop that when the derbies were being milked by the extra fixtures but now we've ditched those the derbies might spark interest again.
I'd certainly travel to Scotland to see Leeds and Saints slog it out. That remains once of the few Super league tussles I can get excited about these days. It's my rugby league viagra.

I was thinking that. Min 4 games a year was stupid. 3 is much more managable, I'd love to see a hull derby, although with Wigan vs Saints you wouldn't know who you wanted to lose most
