| Quote Chris71="Chris71"It could well be the case that Agar is your man as he's in with the Hetheringtons and while Kath Hethrington was at Hull he was never going to be sacked no matter how bad we were under his tenure as Head Coach. Getting rid was pretty much Adam Pearsons first move when taking over.
If I were a Leeds fan I'd definitely be worried on the chances of Agar being the Head Coach for next season.'"
Well... we have shown some improvement so far under him, and I think Sinfield wants decision making over recruitment etc so maybe it might work. We probably do need to invest more in the coaching staff though around Agar if this is how we’re going to play it.

For better or for worse it looks like sinfield will be pulling the strings regardless of who sits in the coaches seat.
I wonder if that was the issue with Furner in that he wouldn't do as Sinny wanted?
Interesting times.

I think Sinfield wants some of the coach's role without the inevitability of getting sacked TBH.
If he gets the recruitment sorted and the culture sorted it might work well. It’s arguably a more modern way of going about it rather than the traditional big personality coach, where they probably get too much flak when things go wrong and too much glory when they go right.
We’re about to find out whether it works....

| Sinfield wants nothing to do with the coaching. People are just running away with their minds at the moment. Sinfield just needs to trust in the appointment to do it, which considering the problems is hard for him, nothing more than that.

He wants to shape the squad and the Leeds culture as he wants it, and he needs a coach who will buy into that vision closely. That isn’t every coach’s idea of a good time when it’s their reputation and job on the line - it’s less control than some would require.
I certainly don’t imagine KS is keen to repeat the Furner experience and so Agar seems the default choice.
Two new players in key positions on Sunday, will be very interesting to see if it helps.

Totally agree Jim.
Some are missing the important and often subtle points of what is going on here.

I'm must admit, I was always ok with the Lunt thing, I can see why that is happening.
I wasn't that pleased with Lui, good player but not what we need.
But now they have gone through, and with Tui going, I feel like the club are being proactive and innovative in what they are doing.
Will everyone be happy, never, but the club are definitely trying.

I think some are just underestimating what a difficult job it is trying to rebuild a side with 3 big limiting factors - Relegation threat, Salary Cap and Quota spaces.
People wanted a clear out and that is what is happening, but its a juggling act with those 3 factors involved
