He would certainly be better than our current halves!

In truth we haven’t had a half with a real field kicking game since Tony Kemp IMO. The ability to apply consistent pressure at the end of sets is so important.
From what a read, Sezer seems decent in D as well which is also critical for us (from the Canberra fans forum).

I always thought he should be captain but having seen some things first hand isn’t the ideal role model away from the pitch, not a lot of other options Ward would be ideal if he could stay fit

He is a good player who can kick goals too. Been the canberra starting half for a few seasons now including when they made the top 4 play offs so he has the pedigree.

Looking on the canberra fans forum in the past for reactions to the UK lads over there i know he is seen as a scapegoat at times for them and it looks like George Williams will replace him there but like i say by SL standards and fitting the bill for what we need it would be a good move.

Of course but I'm going to be controversial and say I never saw him as a natural stand off.
He played there because he wasn't physical enough for loose forward, and he was a bloody good captain and goal kicker.
Place kicking, few better in the world. Field kicking I was less impressed with - although better than Myler, Lolohea or Sutcliffe.
In terms of natural talent I never thought Sinfield was real international quality as a player: as Barrie Mac said, Sinfield manufactured himself through discipline and mental toughness.
He wasn't quick enough for a half back either by the way

If they keep hastings Tui could go very well. If asked to be the main man though....
