Of course but I'm going to be controversial and say I never saw him as a natural stand off.
He played there because he wasn't physical enough for loose forward, and he was a bloody good captain and goal kicker.
Place kicking, few better in the world. Field kicking I was less impressed with - although better than Myler, Lolohea or Sutcliffe.
In terms of natural talent I never thought Sinfield was real international quality as a player: as Barrie Mac said, Sinfield manufactured himself through discipline and mental toughness.
