The Daddy for me. When I first started watching the 'Andy Gregory is a w*****!' would ring out loudly whenever we played the Pies. Shaun Edwards then inherited it, followed by Andy Farrell. Good times.

Ryan Bailey used to get on everyone's wick but for some reason that I can't explain, I used to like watching him wind opposition players up when I was an impartialy watching a game.i think the game needs players like him.. I think willie mason will be top of the wick parade if he comes over.. Think he will be number one for quite a while too.

From recent past, a few immediately jump out at me;
Lowes
Chris Smith (uppity Saints winger)
Cassidy
Nicol
Further back;
Tawera Nikau (I know we shouldn't speak ill of the dead, but I used to pray for someone to pagger him)
Edwards (that fold of the arms and nod arghhhhh)
Simon Houghton (Fat, spotty, greasy, curtain haired, long range try scoring machine)
Fairbanks and Skerrett - Fat thugs
And finally..... 2 Leeds players who wound me up - John Gallagher - I know plenty of people have sympathy for him, but I was a youngster and could never forget that dropped bomb at the end of what I think was the Premiership Semi-Final. And... Jamie Mathiou.... Just run the ball in with some gusto and stop with the stupid bleedin dummy at the line - it never worked, manly because he never passed... God he used to wind me up!'"
I'll fill in for TVOC here re: John Gallagher. Yes it was the Premiership Semi Final. It was the game after we beat Cas with Schoey's last minute Try.

I was confident it was - my old man had already bought us tickets to the final, and it meant I had to go watch Widnes v Hull instead - I was gutted! If I remember rightly, we were winning at the time until he made a complete hash of that bomb right at the death of the game.

That's my recollection too. I was probably only about 8 at the time though.

If you don't bother to go to the game when you live in the locality then you are not really a fan and therefore your views are invalid. It's simple.:icons39ad_files/4821-1859san_c-msnicons.jpg |

| I can understand why any and all the mentioned players got mentioned...
Except Pat Richards, i really don't get that at all. Must be mainly because he plays for Wigan, which is enough for some.
Jimmy Lowes always got on my wick, but would have loved him in my team.

He's nowhere near as bad as he was a few years back.
McIlorum, Hock and J. Tomkins are my top three I think

Agree with that, Richards always seemed very level headed, mellow even.

In terms of Leeds players, I got wound up with Brent Webb in his last season or two. The moaning to the ref, the high tackles and sliding in with knees when a guy was trying to score in the corner all got worst as the seasons passed. Wonder if it was born out of frustration because of the issues that continued to plague him with his back because I don't recall him being like that in 2007 & 2008 when he was on top of his game until his first problem with his back took place and ruled him out of the '08 Grand Final.

I think he was always like that a bit. Wasn't it 2007 where he got sinbinned twice in the same game? IIRC he didn't particularly get along well with Steve Ganson.
But I think you're probably right it was exacerbated through frustration. He was a cracking player for us though and proof that Hetherington was prepared to spend money on big name players.

| The stick Gallagher gets for that Premiership semi-final - from memory - is way out of proportion for the error. I remember it as Gary Nolan out-jumping him under a high ball, not the first full-back it will have happened to and certainly not the last.

| I too, find Pat Richards irritating. It's not because he's particular unlikeable, I just thought considering how successful his career has been, he may have at least cracked a smile at some point.

| From the old school, Gregory and Edwards. Of Super League players, that fat shambles Riddell and also Sam Tomkins when he broke through, though I don't mind him now. All these players have something in common.
Also from days gone by Karl Fairbank and Deryck Fox, though that might be because they were exactly the players we needed to make us a decent team.
