I'm sure the bookies would agree with you.
But I would think, given the CC draw, that Giants are far more likely to make the GF than the CC final.

Not really. They will still have to beat a couple of the big teams to make OT theres no getting away from that.if they beat Wire in the cup they may then draw Sheffield/London in the semis and will then be heavy favourites to make Wembley.Im Sure it will be a big target for Hudds. after knocking Leeds out in style in the last round.

Giants Best price 10-1 for CC, Best price 11-1 GF.
I may have to go with your point

| If Ablett is back we should use him the same way we did in the GF when he targeted Briers for the entire match, even before full time Briers was broken.
We should do the same thing against Brough and try and play him out of the match.

I think Brough is a better defender than Briers but i see your point the key for me is our ruck defence and stopping Lunt.
Lunt has gone up another level this year and his distribution and DH runs are quality he tore us apart in the CC and got the quick ball for Brough to kick us to death at HQ in the SL game.

Lunt has been excellent this year and deserved to play for England last week IMO.
If we are to get anything from this game we need to be much more switched on and organised in the middle of the park than we were on Monday because if Widnes can cut through us that easily then Brough and Lunt will pick us apart.

Your opinion ceases to hold any water due to your inability to see anything through the Blue and Amber goggles!!

| In all probability hudds will win the game comfortably which will take us out of contention for 2nd spot, with warrington away coming up as well 3rd spot could start to slip away. It's looking like 4th spot is our best, and most likely finishing position.
I don't know what it is about 4th spot, I just don't fancy it.

| by rights Shudders should put 40 plus on what is little more than our academy side. If they don't you have to think Shudders wont be contenders (again)
Its the sort of game for Leeds which will pay massive dividends in years to come in blooding what looks like an exciting crop of youngsters coming through

Looking at the remaining fixtures for us it does look like 4th is going to be where we will end up.
If Wigan finish first as expected now, and we do get 4th we could be looking at playing them 3 times in 3 weeks as we play them last game of the regular season that is assuming we lose the first play off game to them and then they pick us in club call. Very possible.

It's getting to the stage where we need to be bringing through a top quality forward and playmaker.
Peacock and leuluai especially simply won't be playing much longer, add mcguire to that as well. Singleton and baldwinson certinaly seem to have plenty of potential. In a few years they could be top forwards. I remember a stringy winger by the name of ryan hall making his debut milleniium magic 2007. A few years later he was one of the top wingers in the competition.
I'm not sure about sutcliffe. Bringing through a decent playmaker is damn difficult. We struck gold with sinfield mcguire and burrow. We may end up having to recruit from outside which is very difficult at the moment. Maybe we will need to alter the style of our play. At the moment we are less structured and rely on individual outburts of play from the likes of mcguire and burrow.
Wigan on the other hand play a much more structured systematic game whici is easier for less skillful players to slot in and be effective. With respect to their halfbacks, they don't have anyone of note playing there, but they are scoring points for fun.

We would win one of those games IMO.
