Walters shouldn't play for us again. He's made his bed. Id rather give his minutes to other props, including one of our academy players.

While it is disappointing to lose a young forward with plenty of potential, he is still realistically our 5th / 6th choice prop.
We should be looking to replace Tet with real quality and Mik, Tom and Lisone are all ahead of him.
He's getting minutes now because Tet and Holroyd/Sangare have been injured.
Be interesting to see how much game time he gets at Wigan.
He's certainly not ready to be a first choice prop yet.

I think they will play him at loose forward.

For next year it will be those 4 plus Goudemand and I suspect Donaldson will fill in. I would not go that way but it could well happen.

I think at times Wigan may use Walters as a LF/ 3rd prop, the dreaded term “middle”. It’s a pity he’s going because he’s different to what we have and is having a year like O’Connor did last year where he comes on a lot.
His defence has improved and he is often slipping the first contact now, he did Vaughan once on Thursday.

Only the coach knows why he has only decided to give him game time now, maybe if he'd had his chance earlier he would not have been looking elsewhere.
