Sad to say but you know another injury is just around the corner for Stevie Ward. Could have been a great but that's just the way it is his body is just not up to it.

Looks like this will be a better contest than originally envisaged after Saints named a decent squad and Leeds found some form.

Looking forward to seeing how far Leeds have come after two resounding wins and how Saints approach the game with Wembley on the horizon.

Agreed, in a pretty ordinary super league season saints have played some decent rugby. Hopefully a good crowd and a decent open game. Which is usually the case between Leeds and saints.

Will be interesting to see whether Leeds can go to a higher level with Saints or not. If they can get the crowd believing, it could be a cracker. We’re still playing for survival.

Saints will miss Walmsley and Roby but our pack will need to step up.

Im actually looking forward to this one for once, bar 15 minutes at their place we’ve actually competed well against a full strength saints side this season

I think knowing our league position will not change whatever the results helps ease the tension of n this one as a fan but a win will pretty much guarantee safety I think especially if London lose.

As others have said, the stronger the team Saints put out the better, lets see where we are squad wise, although if we do win it'll be the usual "we were resting players" and if they win "we beat you with half a squad out" so whatever really.

As long as we get the points.

If we did get a reality check from this one it wouldn't be the end of the world (although we do need the points).

The reforming of the squad should continue.

I don't think we'll win this one but I'd be pleased with a decent performance. If we do win then it's a bonus

If we win we are home IMO it doesnt matter if we beat half their team we're not in this for bragging rights two points is all that counts . It is a benchmark game it will give an indication as the wether we are really improving. A few fringe Saints players will be trying to get noticed too.

I agree to an extent and have said this many a time this season. But when it comes down to it a loss with a decent performance means we had opportunities to come away with the points that we didn't take. We've had enough of those already this season. In such situations fans are more likely to point the finger at what went wrong and perceived weaknesses in the team than praising the positive elements of the performance. Deep down we all know a win would make a huge difference, and getting a result is what matters most, even if we're not expected to win.

Leeds need to look at what went wrong in the last game against Hull, who were also just ready to play in a big cup game, but still edged us out. We need to start well, and not let Saints get on the front foot like last time. The longer the game is a contest in our favour the more likely they'll start thinking about next week. I know Leeds of old would drop off if the roles were reversed (only playing when it matters), but for some reason it doesn't seem to work the other way around for us!

This is only what you think unless I've missed an official statement regarding Ward state of mind.I for one(no inside info on this) would think he'll be chomping at the bit to get back on the field.

My opinion, and it is only my opinion, was based on chatting to Stevie.

Fair enough but I bet once he's on the field he be flying into tackles and running as hard as he can because that's the only way you can play at this level.After 10 minute's he will feel he's never been away although he will be blowing out of his !
