| Quote: moving on... "I hope he finally becomes the halfback every team who has ever signed him wanted him to be. He had years to learn off Briers but when it came to it he offers a moment of brilliance or a good supporting run to finish off a break but thats it. He can't lead a team and direct play around the park and his kicking game consists of a high bomb. We waited years hoping he'd buck up and nothing came of it. The same at Catalans.'"
TBF when Briers retired, Myler was 23/24 and perhaps people expect too much too soon in terms of HB's being more the complete article. Look at the guy he's replacing in McGuire. He was 24 in 2007 and would the McGuire of that year be able to lead that Warrington side post Briers? Myler is 27 now, McGuire was 27 in 2010, arguably his best season in a Leeds shirt as a consistent and more all round HB before the knee injury at the end of the year robbed us of seeing more it the following years. Look at Gale he's 29 now, at 23/24 he was leaving 'Quins and starting at Bradford.

Parcell

Not surprised for Golding to get the nod at fullback as more experience and better defence. Walker will get his chance later.

Would imagine it's Walker given the lineup for the Cas friendly. If he's prepared to play Walker in the playoff semi and GF then I don't think experience will be a deciding factor, it's not like Golding has a ton of experience himself.

| That's not the game I'm watching... Parcell, Moon and Myler working nicely up the middle, forwards carrying it up nicely, defence is strong, Walker solid at the back -very happy so far.

| Thought we were very good tonight, tough team to beat Warrington.
Signing Jack Walker to a new deal at the end of the season seems to be the best business we’ve done in a while, top class. Richie Myler proven a lot of people wrong, he has got a kicking game, he does work very well with Moon.
Good stints from the forwards. Singleton developing into a leader in that pack.

Fletcher: Course, he sees 'imself as an authority on curry, he does, on account of where he was stationed in the army.
Rudge: Where? India?
Fletcher: No, Bradford.:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_40413.jpg |

| One of the main selling points for Golding last year was his defence - unless McD operates a rotation system he may have to wait for his chance.

Yeah, I thought you looked a well drilled good side tonight, who imo were more comfortable winners than the score suggests.
Felt sorry for young Walker when he missed the bomb because he'd had a blinder up till that point, still deserved the MOTM. Also as you say Myler fitted in really well for you.
Wire for all the hype were a bit underwhelming for me, but that was a lot down to how Leeds played and because they have a fair number of new players settling in. BMM was invisible apart from the last minute, I thought he'd be well up for this game. Saying that at least he wasn't Ratchford, man was he awful along with a couple others for them.
