| Watching wire v Widnes. Phil Clarke "the greatest skill in rugby league is holding onto the ball in the tackle". Add in o'connor' rambling gibberish, Cummins nonsense and captain hair dye. They make Barrie Mac sound like jack Gibson

| Its a dead rubber. The result matters not one iota.
The experience is invaluable however.

| Let's not forget both Golding and Keinhorst returned from injuries last week and certainly in terms of the latter played longer than maybe planned.
Wouldn't be surprised if one of them is missing tomorrow.

If Golding is fit why would you play Walker ahead of him after what has happened?

You'd have to ask McDermott that. Maybe not ahead of him but to accommodate other positions.
Think some people on here are really getting carried away with the condemning of a 17 yr old lad with the biggest decision of his life to make. The situation won't be black and white and his thoughts on playing position, right or wrong, naive or otherwise have not been unprofessional or lacking respect. The stance of the club on disbelief or condemnation for anyone who dares turn them down considers nothing of the human element of where a young lad is at.

| Over dramatising methinks. The biggest decision of his life!!!! No way on earth, he's 17, he'll have more "biggest decisions of his life" to cope with before he's 30. If he wants away, fine, let him go and fulfill his dreams. Condemning the club for clarifying what's happening is nonsense.

| Yes, the biggest decision of his life to date. As a 17 year old I didn't know my a hole from my elbow. I know the club have a stance of, if you turn us down or consider it, you won't be asked again, as they want people who are 100% for the cause. I get that but it doesn't factor in the players side of the decision making process and I don't agree with it.

| You don't have to agree with it. 20 odd years of unparalleled success, built on a togetherness and a belief that the whole is better than the sum of its parts, is testament to the clubs belief in player commitment. If said player hasn't got that commitment, I for one will wish him well and hope he finds keeping open options serves him well in his future endeavours.

| I know, that's why I shared that opinion. I can applaud the undoubted success they've achieved whilst also not agreeing with certain aspects, the 2 aren't mutually exclusive.

| I'd say that the two go hand in hand. Total commitment by all is a powerful tool. One bad apple and all that. That's not to suggest that the young lad is a bad apple, just someone who doesn't have the same commitment as others. As said, he probably sees his future elsewhere and good luck to him.

But dont you think it is unfair to deny Newman or A Sutcliffe a debut in place of Walker?
All are talented young players but Leeds as a club dont get anything from trying to give Walker more game time.

| Well short term we do get benefit from Walker. Right now, with Golding having had a few injuries Walker could be picked ahead of him anyway on form.
I wouldn't be surprised if Walker's not really in a fit state mentally right now. This would all be pretty stressful.

If Golding is fit to play then he starts before Walker definitely now. Golding is still learning himself and this business end of the season will be a much needed experience that would only benefit him rather than give that to somebody who is leaving us.

Not sure this is quite fair. Leeds do not have a regular history of making public statements against players but in this case either the player, his agent, his family or friends have been leaking information which was detrimental the the club and it has been a common rumour that has been posted on this board which implied it was the Leeds Club that were at fault. They have every right to correct the information and put their case which has not been denied by the player. So his age is not the issue it is the facts of the contract negotiation and the players intransigence.
