| Not much talent around at the moment in british rugby league. Whilst I am not a great myler fan ,I can see the logic in taking a punt on myler. Like most on this forum I see moons best role is in the centre position. So obviously in veiw of the age of our current half backs we need to replace them.
Not certain if Brian Mac has another half back lined up. I sincerely hope he is looking for another partner for myler.

always though the modern stays in the one position too much. love to see given more of a free roaming role ala schoey, and even doubling up which you simply don't see anymore.
ablett and ferres can run down our right channel with the fullback chiming into the line. let moon play more midfield running threat centre to right.

McCrone is terrible.
Roberts is ok.
Aidan Sezer from Canberra might be on the outer. Can't tackle but excellent kicking game and a good organiser.

| Hello Leeds Fans.Myler has been outstanding this year in a poor Dragons team-badly hit by injuries. He will improve your team.

| Trent Hodkinson has fallen well out of favour at Newcastle - he's been dropped for a couple of kids. Now you could argue if he can't make the current Knights team, we shouldn't be interested, but he is exactly the type of half we need. Calming steady influence, knows how to move his team around the park, and is an excellent kicker both ball in hand and from the tee.... Hodkinson and Myles as a combo would go alright.

| From what I've heard one of Hodgkinson's knees has gone completely, to the point he really can't run. He also can't get a game for the worst side in the NRL. McCrone is really poor as well. Roberts may have been a chance, but not with Myler - he's a runner not a playmaker.
I would have thought we've now nailed down Myler so we get Sutcliffe and Lilley to slug it out for one halfback position with Moon as backup if neither work out. I don't really see the benefits of signing another right now, given the fact you'd then have two new halfbacks, both on long contracts. There's far less risk in letting some of the kids fight for a chance for a season than signing an NRL reject who might end up useless but can't be moved for 3 years.
I think the problem is that we didn't do this a year ago. Last year was dreadful, and yet in terms of signings there was no response at all. As it is we've really just lost a year. If we'd signed one halfback last year we could sensibly talk about whether we need another for next year.

| Tis the Leeds way IMO, we dig ourselves in, then get the chance to dig ourselves out.

| I always worry about players with shoulder injuries. Call it the Creasser effect.

I see what people say about Moon. Love watching him play. From an outsider he sees more ball than Watkins does when he plays centre, yet the best finisher (I believe) in the game doesn't see any ball from him. Also agree he doesn't look natural at half back either. I'd really like to see him have a go at full back, defensively sound and that elusive running game would be suited IMO

Back in the Catalans side today vs Saints. Saints struggling at the moment 18-14 down just before HT, like Wigan on Thursday this would be a costly loss for Saints' top 4 hopes if they don't win today.

| Anybody watching the Catalan game today saw exactly why Richie has threatened to be a class player , but up to now , has failed to kick on. In the second half , he was behind a pack on the front foot , playing against 11/12 men, and yet apart from one class kick to his winger , he was anonymous. He never looked like controlling or making a impact on the game.
He has pace and a good sidestep - where were they against a tiring pack of forwards, with a man less.
Someone is really going to have to give him a massive kick up the - he has the ability , but is going to use it ??

imo he is more likely to support a break than create them on a regular basis good player but top draw half back no but I'm sure he can be part of a very good half back pairing with the right player alongside him
