Baldwinson Parcell Garbutt
Ablett JJB

Burrow Sutcliffe Delaney Mullally
I would start like this for size and to win the arm wrestle early on. Sutcliffe to replace Baldwinson 1st sub 10-15 mins in.

| I'm surprised to see Warrington, the team yet to win a game, start as favourites.

| Id like to see Oledski get 15 minutes in this game, possibly instead of Delaney, who was poor last week, it would be useful to see if he can handle longer minutes over Easter
I would start Baldwnson at 13 with sutty Oledski and Mullaly on the bench, try dominate the first 20 mins and Wire could crumble

Probably due to our poor record at the HJ in recent times (our only 2 wins since 2010 at the ground were a play-off game and the CC semi against St Helens)

| Does anyone anywhere except for BM think that Walters has any actual ability? Every time I watch him he looks like someone who's wandered onto the field by accident and is randomly running round in some attempt to show he's somehow involved.

I think he works hard, makes his tackles and his carries. As occasional squad cover he's OK.
I do get what you mean about the running round though. I think we've said before on here he's got a knack for making the unspectacular look spectacular.
Anyway he'll be nowhere near when everyone is fit, and barring some improvement will be overtaken by the likes of Smith and Oledzki, maybe even Jordan Roberts sooner rather than later.

| This squad has bigger issues than a fringe player like Walters.

Absolutely the next phase of the transition is imminent id say that's way bigger than whether Walters plays a few games or not.

| Yes our half backs concern me more than our back up back up 2nd row Walters. Moon at stand off is a good running threat but offers no kicking game (what we need) and is not a good long term option.

Good to see you're finally in agreement that the club is already in transition.
I'd say that fringe players like Josh Walters are one of the bigger issues at the club though.
One of the key reasons for us struggling so much last year is that outside of our first 17 we didn't, have anyone that could come in and do a job.

Spot on, he's not the first squad filler and won't be the last in a SC sport, during the hat trick years we had Simon Worrall. He gets in only if we have several injuries and might play 20 minutes in which it's not like he constantly f**ks up, he just doesn't do anything really good. For his role at the club and minutes/matches he plays the level of moaning about him is completely disproportionate. You'd think he was playing 80 mins a week getting selected above a fit Ward and Ablett the way some go on.

During our success the fringe players have managed to contribute though because the 1st choice regulars around them were performing to their potential & we had the required quality within that squad the 2015-GF a perfect example.
How many "1st choice" superstars actually performed during that time you highlight?
Finally i always agreed we were in transition but didagreed how it's been handled & still think the biggest phase is yet to come in terms of numbers of 1st team/choice players that need replacing.
