In 2010 we also only narrowly lost the World Club Challenge to a side who were subsequently stripped of the title, and got into position to have a home playoff to get to the Grand Final - the equivalent of coming in the top two this year.

Probably less idiots than who said McDermott should leave after how the 2014 season ended as we'd struggle badly in 2015.

And as if it would have made a difference, considering what this year has highlighted.

2011 & 2012 CCF's and first half of those seasons - McDermott coached the team

If you put all your eggs into the Sinfield and Peaccck were entirely responsible coaching-wise for the treble and other successes then you have to blame them for the disappointments.....yet McDermott was the one blamed.

I don't buy into the Theory that it is only down to Sinfield and Peacock that we won what we did under Mac.It can't be argued he put a lot of responsibility onto those two though but why wouldn't he? two great leaders and fine players to boot, all time greats as far as SL goes at least, they were bound to be a huge part of any coaches strategies. To lose both at the same time and have have the injury to Mcguire for this year so far too, really unfortunate and has obviously left too much of a leadership role to fill, there is nobody in the current team that can bridge the huge gap left simple as that.

all that said, it does look like the squad need a fresh approach and maybe even Mac needs a new challenge himself, he has won everything and spent almost 6 seasons as head coach.

yes that is pretty much it, its a fine line when not wanting to disrespect or come accross that way to a guy who has achieved so much with the club but also having an opinion that a change would be good for all.

As a priority, McDermott being replaced as coach comes in around 3rd.

Always been in the McDermott is not a good coach and always will be. Saw what he did with average players at London, saw what he did with better players at Leeds. Have always said he would leave the club in a worse state than it was in when he took over and Leeds would be comfortably the biggest club he would ever get the reigns to.

Whether right or wrong is a matter of others opinion but that was and is my consistently held view, for what it is worth.
