moon at hooker? I would question why. he's never played there before so why do it in a huge game? you can't experiment in such a big game.
mac has obviously never fancied burrow at hooker hence his limited game time there. without aiton there is no back up. a poor oversight for me.
as to who plays there if burrow is fit start him on the bench with ward at 9. sinfield can still jump into dummy half as he did at hull.

A, we know Ward sn't going to get picked.

B, experiment....isn't that what we are doing naming Cuthbertson at hooker and going minus a HB? If Burrow isn't fit then we simply ARE in the experiment stage. Asking Golding or Lilley to start (and miss Sinfield's kicking game at HB) is just as big an experiment given their very limited experience.

Someone who can be dangerous when he gets the ball (Moon) but can suffer from service over on the left, being more involved doesn't sound too bad to me.

It would be a big ask of Golding to start at SO.....do you really think McDermott (or you) considers he is ready for that?

Without a doubt it's a toughie to make the right choices now for the next 3 (hopefully 4) games. Personally I think I would go for the Lilley/Sinfield sharing stand off/hooker duties.....BUT only if Burrow is not fit. Whatever his shortcomings it has to be better than throwing either Lilley or Golding into the hugely impotant mix from now until season's end (but then what do any of us know?)

I only ask we don't now persist with the now redundant formula of trying to cover the 2 spots with one player.

Would it count as a quadruple if you win the WCC next year?

That's what I said though, he's been named at hooker, not played there.

Thinking about it i reckon lilley will get the starting gig (either at SO or probably more likely dummy half) if Burrow doesn't make it...McDermott likes the troops who put up their hands in the face of adversity and Lilley did just that last Sat....it's probably also why we have possibly seen the last of Achurch in a Leeds shirt.

I may have done him a disservice on Saturday when I mentioned about him hiding out on the wing, if he was carrying the hand injury at the time.

He's rapidly evolving into a Chris Feather style player though. All the physical gear, no idea how to use it properly.
