A 23 year old forward is young. I'd much rather we bring through our own youth or sign young players with potential than waste money on "big names" who spend more time on the sidelines than they do on the playing field.
I'll bookmark this thread I think, we can compare notes this time next year.

On another note, when did Hudds get so many fans and why are they all 3 of them on the Leeds board?

Change the subject now you've made yourself look stupid.
The journeyman is 28 with a World Cup winners medal and over a hundred Nrl games under his belt.
Mullally is 24, and can't get regular rugby at lowly Huddersfield. However he is a full international for the formidable Ireland.
I know who I'd rather have.

Taking away all the petty club arguing, on paper Rapira looks the solid bet on paper. He has been a good player for a fair while. I personally think he is a risky signing whoever picks him up. Risk reward situation seems to be easily broken. Could be a cracking signing could spend more time with physio than on pitch.
Mulally offers more of a project. Clearly a lot of coaches see something in him. The little I have seen seems big and aggressive what we lack. Who gets the best deal only time will tell lots of questions over both players

| Clearly one thing Mullaley possesses that Rapira doesn't is a desire to win trophies

Christ you're obsessed with this place. I know we joke about your club having no fans but surely there must be a few of you that know how to use a computer, have internet access and can get the Hudds forum going?
As I said, i've bookmarked the thread. Good or bad i'll bring it back mid season, 2016.
My prediction is Hudds already out of the cup, Rapira injured or blatantly not interested, Mullally going OK from the bench and this board still full of insecure Huddersfield fans asking stupid questions like is Danny Brough better than Sinfield.

| Signing Mullally and Rapira would have been ideal. We need another experienced prop as well as Cuthbertson to compliment Singleton, Mullally, Mulhern and Baldwinson, who have potential but are not yet the finished article.

On Balance I am glad Rapira has gone with Hudds. Its 7 years since he was a world cup winner and 4 since he featured in the NZ squad. I think on his day he is a quality player and on the one hand I would have liked to have seen him pull on a Leeds shirt next season. But and it is a big BUT, he does seem to have been dogged by injury of late. If he stays largely injury free for the next few season, he will have been a superb addition to your squad, if not?! I have seen too many expensive NRL Imports who came with big reputations and extensive injury / fitness issues spend an unproductive year at Leeds and the cut their stay short and return home. Which is why on balance I would rather take Mullally off your hands , MAYBE not the same potential, but a lot less risk and I don't doubt less expensive

First off that is the most insulting thing anyone has called me... A Huddersfield fan!!!!
I personally agree with you I am quite happy Rapira has gone to hudds and not us. That said with 3 fairly young or inexperienced props another senior prop wouldn't go a miss for a few seasons
