I think a lot of teams in many sports have such a player - one who is rubbish yet is retained for years and years. No-one ever offers to take off your hands and when you do eventually release, ends up at a much poorer team; even in lower leagues. A lot of teams have them. I haven't followed RL for long enough to give specific names for other teams, but I think Kirke is Leeds'.

Y'know, the player who comes on and people groan and say 'oh no, not him'... yet invariably ends up being there for donkeys years and will have his name down as a 'winner' of any trophies the team were lucky enough to win that time.

I'm not sure who equivalent past Rhinos would be - sure some of you can educate me.

according to people who've just seen the players off and looking at the photo's on twitter of the team's pre travel meal, Kirke isn't/wasn't there. Achurch and Stevie Ward were though......has mac changed his 17 and not announced it yet?

That's funny as Kirke is in every picture. Numerous ones outside the team bus and in the team photo at The Pit where they had the team meal.
