| Quote The Eagle="The Eagle"Very poor stats. I didn't notice him first half, so he was either not on the pitch or was truely AWOL'"
It was all a bit tasty in the first half, so I don't think we has brought on until the second half. Not for that reason though............ honest.

| Kirke and Bailey ,waste of space, get rid soon as
BJB deserves to be in and around the squad until his departure
Stevie Ward has a great future but he desperatley needs bulking up in the next pre-season
Looking forward to the return of Aiton, liked what I saw of him,Chris Clarkson is certainly not the answer to things

| In terms of Bjb I'd definitely keep him around until he departs & possibly play him at FB in the CC game then maybe v Wakey & London but other than that I'd keep the backs together as much as possible.

| I wouldn't worry about your team, this will your easiest game for a while, depressingly I'd be happy with anything less than a 20 point defeat.

| Quote ThePrinter="ThePrinter"TBF only one guy has said BJB should never play again which I agree is unnecessary. Personally I've stuck to what I said in pre-season, Hardaker is better at FB and I think Briscoe and Hall are stronger wingers. Now that he's going we should look at possibly Handley and Walters for games against London/Bradford/Wakey if we're going to rest somebody as they'll be needed next year. If we need someone to come in against tougher opposition I'd still pick BJB.
Given that metres made by our back 3 is a huge part of our game and an area we better probably all other teams in then to pick BJB over Briscoe for this particular opponent who are so defensively strong and physical seemed wrong as Briscoe is much stronger getting metres and carrying the ball and being tougher to put down. With a home game vs Hull next week the rotation should've happened there, not vs our nearest rivals.'"
In the Wigan game Hall made 8.08m per carry, Bish made 7.73m per carry and Hardaker 7.5m per carry. He also put himself in a great support position in centre field which could well have won the match for us had McGuire passed to him.
For the season Briscoe averages 10.17m per carry (1st place), Bish 9.84 (2nd place) and Hardaker 8.39 (6th place) and Hall 8.08m (8th place). BJB also has the best trys per match average. So I do not think BJB is letting the side down and is a great asset to the side. The back three should be continued to be selected on form.

Some of this stats should be taken with a pinch of salt as most appearances came against lower sides. Better tries per match would be expected really.

| Quote Gotcha="Gotcha"The stats from the Wigan game do not make very good reading at all IMO for the substitutes of Bailey, Kirke, and Singleton.
I don't know how long they were on the park for, which could play a part in one, two, or maybe all three. I know in Singleton's case twice he offloaded, which of course restricts the carry in metre terms.
Kirkes stats are absolutely pathetic, if truth be told. Really really unacceptable stats for a player at this level. 14 tackles, 3 misses, 3 carries at only 4.33m per carry, and one error to boot. There is definitely more cause for concern there, than there is for BJB, or at least should be.'"
I seem to recall Kirke only came on after half time and made 4 more tackles than Singleton and one less carry. I also seem to recall he put in some solid defence around the ruck. Without knowing the minutes played it is difficult to compare with accuracy.
With Leeds playing a sort of mob handed blitz defence we have to expect that we will have quite a few missed tackles which is not a problem providing the rest of the gang stop the opposition. What is more a worry is a one on one miss like Ablett made for Green to score.

The other players also had chance to make hay against those lower sides so only a very small pinch of salt. You have to say Bish has done a good job when given the opportunity. In the Wigan game he did not have the advantage of Watkins insided him like Briscoe has enjoyed so even less salt I would say

And they did, their try per game ratio suffers from playing against the likes of Saints and Hudds which BJB didn't, also from missing out on one or two of the weaker teams to make way for BJB to get a game. I'm sure Hall (vs Widnes) and Briscoe (vs London) would've made hay if they played those games.
No he didn't get to have Watkins at centre, but neither has Briscoe on a few occasions due to being moved over to the left to accommodate BJB. Briscoe has scored in 6 of his 11 league appearances, 2 of the 5 games he didn't score in came when he was over on the left. In those games BJB grabbed 2 tries both times playing outside Watkins and the ones vs Cas were laid on a plate that any of our wingers would've finished.
