By the tone of the statement it doesn't sound like a disciplinary issue particularly.
Unless its a bit of misdirection by the England camp, but I doubt their skill at doing that sort of thing and in the age of twitter its hard to keep it quiet.

From what I have heard, and I'm not giving this source any credibility, it's someone who does indeed play full back for a cash strapped West Yorkshire club, but it's not Mathers and it's not Wakey. A bit out of left field this one. |

Hope it's all rumour that Hardaker is moving on, he's already very good and has the potential to be world-class.
There are two options to the G1 rumour ("cash-strapped West Yorkshire club not Wakey" doesn't completely narrow it down). Kearney is a very decent player though not as good as Zak and another over-30. As for the other option not sure how punching out Father Christmas while out on the mickey fits in to the zero-tolerance Royal Marine approach. |

England have said they "will work with Leeds to support Hardaker, who has asked for privacy." If we take that at face value, particularly the "work with Leeds bit" then it could be as you say. |
