Take the blinkers off Loz. It wasn't that young. We should have drawn and the performance throughout was average at best. The commentators were building it up as something it wasn't.

In that last set they should have got no where near our posts.

WTF get a grip they hardly had any ball and were down 2 men away from home against ateam most predicted would beat us by 20+.
Also for every mistake we made Wire made just as many and that knock on call against Mcshane who was facing his own line anyway when the ball was clearly stolen should ahve the officials hanging their heads in shame.
The team got stuck in and outscored them 4 tries to 3 yes the mistakes were frustrating and we maybe we could and should have seen out the last 5 minutes better but FFS give the team some credit they were knackered.
If that was any other team with so many injuries you would be one of the first to give them credit.

4 tries to 3 away to a full-strength Warrington without both our half-backs and 4 out of 6 of our Grand Final pack? I'd say it was superb performance.

Maybe we should have used one of bench spots for Sinfield to come on and take the conversions though.

Yeah and given our recent performances we shouldn't have got anywhere near Wire

The performance we shown (yes there was errors and lets not forget another injury) tonight was from a team who you could see wasn't at there best but they have passion and showed how they can cope

In the grand scheme of things the result means little for us as 3rd was always more of an outside chance. Now we pretty much know for sure 4th is the best we can get and as long as we don't have a bad run of results this is where we will finish.

In terms of our performance the inexperience showed in some key areas, especially setting up some plays on their line in the first half and some of the options towards the end when coming away from our line.

A game like that is fantastic esperience for someone like sutcliffe. You can't get that in training or in the youth teams.

I don't really see any negatives apart from the potential injuries. We showed that if we get some key players we will be there or thereabouts in the playoffs.

A thing there tonight which we haven't seen much recently was there

It was a god awful game. Too many errors and both teams looked clueless for the majority of the game.


As for the last set, I stand by what I said. I don't care how many we had out. It was 13 on 13. They had a set start so we had a full defensive line. They should have never got over halfway.

That may be true, they made yards too easily in that set, but playing 79 minutes with 15 men may have had something to with it. By that stage, young centres Foster and Keinhorst were in the pack with Clarkson propping and Ablett, Peacock and McShane all having done near enough 80 minutes.

Win, lose or draw we're still looking like coming 4th this year. Plenty to take out of that game.

Again, your inability to look past the blue and amber side of things has always been your Achilles heel Loz.

The reason we were able to compete was because they were so bad tonight. The couldn't complete and made basic errors that Salford would laugh at.

The thing is though, we were in it, and we shouldn't have lost it. They made metres in the 2nd half but didn't make metres as easy as that last set. It was as if they thought they had done enough by kicking the ball dead and went to sleep.

It's a simple game to understand. All you have to do is look at it neutrally like I do.
