| Quote: W55ARE "So it looks like it Richard Moore left out again this week. Sutcliffe wont get a look in either but it is great experience for him.
Its a funny one with Moore - I think he is a good player and should be playing week in week out somewhere. But its a fine line between; do I play for the Champions occasionally or do I play consistently for another team? I had my doubts when he came to this team but I guess he has converted me to a fan of his now. Wonder what is going through his mind?'"
Not a lot, because the messages are that it will be Peacock, and probably Sinfield rested this week.

| Richard Moore is rapidly becoming a better player by not playing.
At least on this website.

If it was G Strokes I would be worried that one of our resident poster had taken up refereeing.

The stories I hear is that the only change is Brad in for Moore

| It would make sense to give our most rested of prop forwards a rest and play ageless Peacock and Kylie in a home fixture against London after easter. In fact, it would be innovative.
No, really.

| Has "Laptop" been rediscovered yet?
If so, is "Laptop" likely to be included with the squad this week?
Or is it being rested so that it can be checked out for viruses and stuff?

Would this be based on your in-depth knowledge of their rehab and training schedules, combined your close observation of their recovery during the week?

I would guess it would be more to do with common sense than any of the above which quite frankly are irrelevant for this week.

| I'm a bit wary of too much talk of "resting" players because its London. Rest players if they need it, as part of a proper squad rotation policy or if they are carrying knocks by all means. But teams who rest players out of disrespect for their opponents tend to get burned.
No point beating Wigan, Saints and Wire if you're then going to get humped by London.
*awaits comments about the "master plan" to finish 5th*

Course. It's only London at home.
I mean it's not like a bunch of whipping boy rabble like that could ever turn up and even be competitive at Headingley is it?

If all the senior pros are fresh and ready to go after Easter, then they play for me. You start leaving people out so other, lesser players can get a game and you risk sending a team out with entirely the wrong mentality.

| Spot on El D & AG, w disrespect London at our peril.
I trust our conditioning staff to know whether resting players is actually beneficial.
You can pick up injuries almost as easily in training as in playing.

It could be based upon the amount of contested top flight rugby I have watched each of them play in recent weeks and my knowledge, based upon published media of their respective ages.
I trust you will leave those of us that aren't privy to the players rehab and training schedules and close observation of their recovery during the week to continue to discourse in our own uneducated fashion the merits of the game, form of players and merits of coaching decisions. After all, if you're not privy to those issues and you believe such knowledge is required in order to proffer an opinion you would be a bit of a hypocrite to do so, would you not?

It's got nothing to do with "just been London", it's got everything to do with what games we have just come through and what games we have coming up.
Use some common sense Andy instead of jumping on the McDermott butt plug every week.

| I think Peacock deserves a week off, whole sale changes arent needed, gradual rotation of the pack to keep everybody fresh throughout the season.

| Anyone got any decent evidence that resting players actually works? In theory it sounds fine.
