Well im hearing that Leeds agreed a 'compensation package' with Salford but couldnt agree terms with Joel.

I hope we actually keep Kirke as it makes more sense looking at the playoffs. Kirke got the start in France in Leuluai's absence and got around 40 mins game time in the GF compared to Griffin's 15. He might not be everyones cup of tea but I'd rather see the coach keep hold of the players he has more faith in.

Read a bit in League Weekly that quoted Kirke as saying he tried motivating Peacock in the last quarter of the GF by saying to him "have you still got the legs for it old man"......apparently fired up JP a treat

Let him strike up a real partnership with Hall which was starting to look good at back end of year.Give him the 4 shirt and use Keinhorst as the cover centre and we are sorted.

Moon is a quality ball playing strike centre, very much in the Watkins mould. If we could sort our defensive structures out, and bring our other backs into play off those two centres, that would be a pretty amazing backline. Whilst giving us that quality forward back in his proper position.

Agree. Whereas as it is we're one injury away from a backline reading BJB/Keinhorst/Ablett/Hall, which is considerably less amazing.

We're definitely short-staffed in the 3/4s.

In the papers today it said the Rhinos unable to agree terms with Joel Moon. It's dissappointing as he's a quality centre and would have improved our team. GH will have to look for another "quality player"!

I saw that too, I'd always be a tad wary of anything Dave Dosey Parker writes, but you never know, it could be true. Stranger things have happened.

We do seem to be loosing out when we are in competition for a player.Taylor from HKR and Poore from the NRL were both reported (if true!) to have turned down offers from us. GH quite rightly will mention winning 5 Grand Finals in 6 years but to some of these players that's not enough.If he's after a quality player from the NRL he will have to pay a fair sum.

So .......when does the 2013 squad get confirmed and numbers given out?
They return for training in a week or two.
