| Not even sure Leeds can beat Wakefield with the rejuvenated Ali; the shunned Amor and the rejected Smith out to rub some noses (literally probably from the latter) in the Headingley dirt.
Let's forget it this season: hope we see the likes of Hood, Singleton, Chisholm and D.Smith against the Giants. Hope springs eternal and all that.

Considering we have effectively been playing knock out fixtures for the past 4 - 5 weeks, I wouldn't be so sure. Anyway we still need to get there yet, Bradford could react and beat les cats and if we play like we did vs widnes then Salford will dispose of us anyway.

Not for the first time, and probably not the last, I'm glad you're not in charge of anything important.
Were you one of those who said the same last year?

"Important" ? Hmmmm.....more important that Leeds RL....??
Is anything more important than a fifth finishing SL club? :lol
Last season will not be repeated....it was a superb unexpected climax, but I still wish the club had better focused on its coaching and playing staff future this season rather than continuing to reward the inconsistent withering incumbents. It just makes the transition that little bit harder ....and harder.....and harder. C'est la vie.

I don't consider Leeds RL to be the most important thing in the world. Even so, I was thinking of anything more important than a TV remote really.

| Might be in a minority here and i know it's now out of Leeds' hands but i'd still prefer us to finish 4th right now. Wigan aren't at their best ATM and will probably be without their starting hooker next week at least. Leuluai and Fielden still finding fitness too. I'd rather go now than possibly in 3 weeks when all them things could have changed. I think Wigan would much prefer to see Catalans turn up at the DW next week instead of Leeds.

| I would prefer to finish fourth anyway as Catalans away in the second game (should we get past Wakey) looks much tougher than the Hudds game did last year.
I do think we would have a good shot at Wigan next week should we get fourth.Nothing to lose and lots of pressure on the pies to come through that first game it could be interesting.
Sadly,i dont think Bulls have a chance At Catalan.

They have a good record at catalans. 5 wins and a draw from 7 games. however like you i dont give them much of chance either.
I want bradford and wakey to win then Leeds should finish 4th and i dont have to pay out £50!!

| You're going to finish 4th and beat Wigan next week. At least that's what I'd prefer.

| I'd like to congratulate the rhinos on once again strategically finishing just outside the Top 4 in order to benefit from the well-earned rewards for doing so. This ensures that half-d mediocrity throughout the regular season really does pay off in the end and is duly rewarded with a home fixture next week and two successive easy play-off fixtures against whipping boy SL rabble. Someone wake me up in 3 weeks time (Wigan away probably) when the SL season begins in earnest.

| What? So you think playing Catalans away in the 2nd week is easier than at HQ?
As i said further up the page, finishing 4th is a clear benefit this season over last due to Huddersfields shocking form last year.
FWIW i expect us to come through a tough clash with Wakey and go down in a close game in France.

Yes, I do believe Wakey at home followed by Catalan away is a more comfortable ride than Wigan away followed by Catalan at home. Facing whipping boy SL rabble twice instead of just once in consecutive games is definitely the easier ride before the really important Semi Finals take place. IMHO of course.
Quote: Biff Tannen "As i said further up the page, finishing 4th is a clear benefit this season over last due to Huddersfields shocking form last year.'"
Catalan are whipping boy SL rabble just like Huddersfield are. Any distinctions being made between the two are shallow at best.
Quote: Biff Tannen "FWIW i expect us to come through a tough clash with Wakey'"
A lot on this forum reckoned it would be a tough clash last season at home to the whipping boy Hull FC rabble. It wasn't then and it won't be next week either. Leeds to win comfortably... again.
Quote: Biff Tannen "and go down in a close game in France.'"
Might be close but Leeds will win.
Wake me up when it's proper Semi Final time involving only the genuine contenders and all the whipping boy SL rabble have been eliminated during the next two tedious weeks of unnecessary play-off fixtures.
Thanks in anticipation.

| Biff - just put him on your ignore list and as long as people don't quote him then you don't see his pathetic posts. He's a sort of crap Lord Haw-Haw character with nothing to say of any value. People used to engage him but most CBA these days.
