Hock has been charged with a grade E offence (4-8 matches). I'd expect it to be towards the lengthier end of this range. He's also been charged with striking during the same incident.
Sam Tomkins has not been charged following his 'kick' and has been warned about his technique.

You would have thought that Hock would have had enough time to evaluate his RL career during his self imposed exile, but sadly this talented player is clearly nothing more than a loose cannon, and one who has clearly not learnt his lesson
I hope that Hock gets the maximum 8 game ban for gouging and that it sets a tough stance from the RFL on this type of indiscretion
I also hope that the RFL will not allow next seasons pre season friendlies to count in any such ban |

couldn't agree more, this kid abviously hasn't learnt his lesson from his ban (how fortunate he is to be a pro sportsman), people talk about ryan bailey being a thug, he may be niggly but he's an angel at the side of this idiot |
