I thought it was just McLaren that was mistaken (and thought nothing more of it really as in the past he couldn't spell his own name correctly and is missing entire seasons) but I'm starting to worry now that his voice is too loud and he's corrupting the forum.

Oops...wouldn't mind but I just had a morale boosting look at our 78 victory over Saints, it's an age and mental laziness thing!

CC 1994, 1995, 2000 (couldn't make 1999 due to sprog arriving) - 0/3
2000 at Murrayflood was such a miserable experience I gave up.

GF's 1998 is my only appearance at Old Trafford on that night (I've seen a couple of test matches there) - 0/1

JP/Regal 1983, 1984, 1987, 1992 - 1/4

it all started so well there was only a handful of supporters cheering @ the memorable 1980 yorkshire cup but then it was followed by widnes , hull & hull kr dominating on & off the pitch. Crowds @ hq were around 5k and cc semis were lost every 2 years.

Wigan's rise started when they beat us in the jpl final and then went 99% pro.

By the time we caught up we were always the bridesmaids in the early 90s and the premierships worth was shown by key players retiring or withdrawing with paper cuts before the final. (i may have missed some premiership semi's if offiah's ten try match was a semi)

98 & 99 turned out to be a false dawn b4 the great decade of academy players we've had after all the glory buys of the 80s & 90s (including the year we nearly had a full queensland 13)

tbh losses in big games now haven't seemed as bad as the mid season lulls in grand final seasons. It would have been good for one of the 3 in a row to have been as glorious as 04. This year definitely been more lulls than entertainment

I'm also reliably informed I was at the Yorkshire Cup Final v Cas in around 88? Though only being 3 or 4 at the time I dont really remember much!
Though it does mean I've a 100% record on Yorkshire Cups!

On the up side, since '99 I have had a Wembley (or Wales / Scotland) weekend almost every year, so the rugby is usually a secondary consideration.

Not that great is it

The best victory was the 2004 Grand Final. Only time I have ever teared up at a game. The worst loss was the 2005 Grand Final. I normally take losses well as im used to them but that year it hurt more than any other loss.

I'm in the 1 from 8 club I'm afraid.

Which I'd assume is those of us that have attended every Leeds final from the 93/94 loss vs Wigan to present.
