| Quote: rhinoms "Exeter how can Moore be an improvement on Burgess??
One is 30 yrs old with his best behind him and has jealth and temperement issues and theother has at least 6yrs left at the top and is a much better player!
If he was here as a stop gap 1 yr maybe 2 at most then maybe but 3 yrs and we've retained Kirke??
Much prefer Griffin with Amor and Ambler given chances and then Singleton to come in for the odd game.
Hopefully better news to be announced.'"
Because he wants to play for us and Burgess didn't perhaps

| I hope I am proved wrong, but Moore is no better than Amor and only slighty better than Ambler, he is probably a worse signing than Jamie Mathiou, then again Jamie Mathiou was as bad as they come.

| If he's given the 15 shirt we may as well give up now!

This guy is utterly useless.
I've concluded that he must have a very rich uncle who's promised to fund the new South Stand if Gary lets his little Brian have a go at coaching.

| When's Bailey gonna sign a new deal, he must be the last one left out of contract?
The Griffin rumours gone a bit quiet since last month.

Where did I say he would be an improvement?
I'll copy my post again. If you read it carefully you'll see that I'm hardly endorsing the signing.
Quote: rhinoms "Underwhelming is an understatement but will reserve final judgement until he plays for us. He's probably an adequate replacement for Burgess in playing terms but at his age, not to mention his chequered career and injuries/illnesses, this is a big risk IMO.'"
For the avoidance of doubt, I meant Burgess and Moore have a roughly similar playing style as prop forwards who need to be spelled - this is why I said he would probably be an adequate replacement (adequate does NOT mean an improvement!) in playing terms, before adding several qualifications.

| I back the signing. If its our only one then I wouldn't. But he will prove to be better than Cross and Burgess (although Burgess did seem to have a rocket up his backside for this season only, which isn't acceptable)
The way I see it is Moore in replace of Cross.
Amor or Ambler will no doubt take Burgess' spot.
Leeds must still have a hell of a lot of cap space with offloading Ali and Senior. So I expect 2 decent signings to go along side Moore. Then it would be acceptable.

| I think what ER is saying is that we've signed a on a par (ish) with the outgoing Burgess, but a whole lot older.
And that we should've...
a) signed somebody at the very least as good and the same age.
b) signed somebody a bit younger, with more potential.
c) signed somebody a bit older, that was loads better.
Signing somebody older and on a par is not good enough.

| I was just about to write a positive article about Brian McDermott. I’m not too sure if I can go ahead with this now. He doesn’t make it easy does he?
A while ago a Quins fan came on here with a long winded post about how he regards Brian McDermott. One of his biggest criticisms was that Brian likes to always give the over 30s one more year at a club. Now he’s just given someone over 30 an unreasonable 3 years!
However in the defence of Richie Moore prop forwards do tend to be at their best (or at least they used to be..) later on in their careers. Let’s hope this is the case here otherwise we’re truly doomed.

| I think he will be an ok addition to the squad, goes well every time he plays against us.
Just the 3 year deal I'm not sure about, unless Gary got a better deal over the 3 years, who knows.

I think he will go ok too. Not sure where it leaves Amor and Ambler though.
I hope Amor can make the grade with Leeds, not too fussed about Ambler TBH
