If not are we then committing ourselves for next season to a coach we dont necessarily want for next season?
We need to be thinking about next year, If we can't get our first choice for coach until next year, we may aswell leave McDermott in charge, if we dont know who we want next year, then dumping McDermott for someone else who is simply available isnt going to help in the long run.'"
Probably not.
I agree that the chances are BMD will stay in charge until the end of the season (you might recall my thread a couple of weeks ago highlighting why it is in GH's best interests for Leeds to 'fail' this season)
If the fans really do scream for his removal before the end, we'll probably get someone like Barrie McDermott running the team for the last few matches of the season.

I don't recall Murray winning three Grand Finals, three World Club Championships, coaching GB or winning SL coach of the year.
On your basis, you would say Ben Cross has achieved more than Jamie Peacock.

| Whilst i accept the squad is older and many past their prime they SHOULD be doing better than this.
A decent coach would bring discipline and structure and lets be honest a strong coach wouldn't stand for that garbage and there'd be many sat in the stands until they got the message.
We have no right to win and certainly no right to trophies but it's not unreasonable to expect competitive performances from the squad that's available imo and the chuckle brothers can't produce it.
Of course questions can/will be asked of GH and he has the power to change it but even he can't be blamed for sheeeeeeeeeeiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiittttttttttttteeeeeee we've witnessed this year.

Just a suggestion like...'"

| Although Leeds are awful this season and McDermott must go, a good coach along with a centre, scrum half, prop and second row can easily change Leeds around again.

2. We did bring in players, who along with everyone else, aren't playing as well as expected.'"
That's the nail hit on the head. McGuire and Peacock you can excuse, they are recovering from very serious injuries that you just don't get over quickly, but with some of the others it's like they have been secretly replaced by counterfeit cr*p from Taiwan (apart from JJB who is obviously harder to make a fake replica of).
I didn't think Cats were devestating today, but they completely destroyed us at the tackle. They slowed us down to snail speed on our ball, and (mainly by moving forward on their knees of the mark) were able to get our markers out of position at will on their ball. We weren't smart enough to stop them.
The comedy officials just added to the frustration, but hardly made a difference to the result.
Oh, and the away kit is the icing on the cake. Having to watch them in that pink abomination finishes the job for me.

| You need to get rid of Mcdermott & lowes quickly, The squad you have should be winning games, the coach is responsible for this its seems obvious to an outsider that the players have no direction and are playing off the cuff rugby at best. You will not get any decebt players to join your club unless you get rid of the coaching staff. It is a fact that good players nowadays sign for the coach in charge not the club

My Mum isn't a Rugby League expert by any stretch of the imagination but she pointed out that there was no runners and drive
if she can see only a fraction of what's wrong with our game can our coach?

What about replacing Brian McDermoot with your mum, she seems pretty clued up to me. Lets face it she couldn't do much worse.

Too true. And sadly as a result, regardless of who is coaching them, our team and squad are not good enough for 2011 or probably 2012.

| You'd be in with a shout of finishing in the top four if you had Madge. Your squad's not great, but its definitely underperforming at the moment.

| Is anyone really surprised by Leeds abject performance today?
There's usually a huge comedown after peaking in your Cup Final the week before.
