Nah, don't do it.
Your sycophantic, lickspittle opinions on the likes of what Bailey and McGuire have to offer are far more creative, innovative and entertaining

It's a selection that does'nt make sense imo whilst we don't have a natural 7 to challenge for his spot and he's behind a decimated beaten pack.'"
Fair enough but I personallywould like to see mcshane give it a go, he can play there and would definatly improve our kicking game.
By the same logic regarding mcshane being groomed for hooker why do we play BJB on wing when he has been groomed for full back.
Not burrow bashing as it's called, but I haven't been impressed with him for years and just think other options should be explored

| Whilst Burrow didn't do much last night, it's a trifle unfair to single him out when playing behind such an obviously beaten pack. Some of the forwards and more experinced backs however.....

Bjb has played more wing/centre than Mcshane has 7.
Lets also not forget that 99% of the backs whatever position more often than not get selected on the wing 1st and foremost when being nutured into the 1st team.

So what's his excuse for the previous 2 years before this season?

| He doesn't have one because he doesn't need one. Rob is a very capable 7, may be not in the traditional sense, but is very capable all the same. When we have Sinfield pulling the organisational strings we don't need a "traditional" scrum half, and therefore Rob fits the bill with his support play and pace.
He also has about the best tackling technique at Leeds (with Buderus IMHO) although he (and Hall) are often exposed by Senior's wanderings.

| The reason we were beaten last night is Saints controlled and slowed the ruck better. 60% of the time their retreating defensive line never went back the full ten and they were back up in our face reducing our go forward. Buderus was a shadow of his usual self in attack because of the slower ruck and was not as effective going foward. Defensively he was very good. Its a coaching thing but to get better go foward we need to work on quicker play the balls but stand deeper in attack. We have little or now organisation at scrum half because Burrow is not an organising scrum half and rarely takes on the line and draws in the defensive line. Lomax outplayed him last night and Saints look like they have a good prospect to work with to replace Eastmond. To say he was playing behind a beaten pack last night is a little off the mark. I thought the pack played reasonably well last night but selection is an issue in my opinion. I dont see Lautititi has a starter and we should have Clarkson starting for the graft and bring on Lauititi as an impact player. With regards Watkins he makes some big hits in defence but has let some soft trys in this season. If Delaney had played on the right last night I feel he could have saved at least two of the Saints trys and he tightens up our defense. With regards Cross I think too many Leeds fans have been bagging him since he came and like most overseas players he will take time to settle in. Last night he had his best game for Leeds by far, he takes the ball up hard and tacles well and in two months time he will become a big favourite at headingley.
I Would go........................
Webb
Hardaker
Delaney
Watkins
Hall
Sinfield
Mc Shane
Burgess
Buderus
JJB
Clarkson
Hauraki
Amblett
Subs
Cross
Lauititi
Leulia
Burrow
Kirk could be rested for next week to freshen things up and Senior needs dropping. As for Smith he has offered little this year and needs to fight to get his place back. Good to see competion for places is comming back.

| Sad but true. Although he may notnhave done much so far this season, I'd put Smith at right centre, Watkins left and Delaney second row. If we're to see Watkins develop into the player he has the potential to become, I think McDermott needs to move him to his proper left side position and give him a guaranteed run of 4/5 games there.

You could count on one hand the number of times Burrow has outplayed his oppossite number over the last 18 months. By contrast he has been outplayed by his oppossite on many occassions.
The excuse of playing behind a beaten pack is not always usable, what were the other excuses?

Burrow has been superb and outplayed his opposite number in at least 50% of this season's games.
He remains one of the best 7s in the league and one of Leeds most vital players.
