I'm sure there was a rumour that Mcshane would be going to Salford for the 2011 season on loan.

McShane is exciting with ball in hand but is a turnstyle in defence ATM. I have heard good things about Hood but never seen him. Can more knowledgable people tell me if he looks good?

He's looked good to me mate when i've seen him ,very quick around the ruck not afraid to try things on the last tackle and he has plenty of aggression.
What he does need to work on is mixing it up more he rushes plays at times in the final 20 when he'll go by himself when we have an over-lap or he'll try a grubber without anyone else knowing he's gonna do it.
Of course all this comes with learning and experience and he's got stacks of potential at the moment and he's now got a FT deal to work on his game and hopefully kick on.

I think this how young players try to get themselves noticed - They seem to think that scoring tries is what will catch the eye of a scout or coach which isn't necessarily true.

They soon calm down once they have a game or two with the big boys. I remember Watkins was similar before he broke through.

Sounds like the one to go on loan is Hood not McShane. Don't be surprised if he goes to Fev as a further tightening of the "new" link we have with them.

I like Diskin as a player. From what ive seen, hes reliable and solid

I've always been a fan of Diskin, he has done wonders for not the most naturally gifted of players. I just don't think he has had the spark we've seen prior to this season(and last to an extent). Perhaps he has been slightly stifled by the arrival of Buderus and the role of back up hooker.
Whatever happens he will always be a bit of a hero of mine for the things he has contributed to making this club a success.
