Must say I'm not impressed by this signing at all but time will tell. Wigan and saints have gone out and bought Australian and kiwi internationals in their prime. We haven't.

I think that the signing of Cross could prove to be a shrewd one, what with Peacocks absence and the need to bolster your front row.

It could prove to be a big mistake also. Cross is so injury prone, i can see why the Knights have wanted to get rid of him. I would go so far to say that they have left themselves light upfront, just so they can get rid of a possible sicknote.

Big gamble from Bluey this one.

If we can get him on the field then it will be very helpful to our other props. Leuluai can only do limited minutes, Burgess has suspect defence and Bailey whilst good at what he does, doesn't do enough.

Assuming that we can get Peacock and Cross both fit and healthy, we have a strong pair of props, but otherwise we might have just given the physios a bigger workload...

Don't know enough about the guy to comment on whether he's a good signing or not and he does want to play for us which must go in in his favourbut............... another over 30 in the team and to replace a 23yr old - not sure that makes sense!!!

As a Wiganer, i think this is a good signing for Leeds. Lot of younger lads in the team like Clarkson, Burgess, etc and another experienced head in the pack who can do the hard yards, bring that SOO mentality, etc is always a good one. Just hope that his cardio's up to scratch and that he doesnt command too much money.

People can try an knock him all they want. On that NRL forum the Knights fans we're glad to get rid, but the fact is he was a regular in there starting line up, 2 years ago he was playing Origin and he is a NRL GF winner. All that = Improvement on what we had last season in the front row.

He just signed a new contract with them a few weeks back so they wernt that keen to get rid.

When you consider that Cross did sign a new contract for 2011 at Newcastle only a couple of weeks ago, and GH is quoted in YEP as saying "he was always our first choice" then either someone is telling porkies or we were extremely slow out of the blocks considering that we have known for months that Eastwood was leaving and we needed another prop...

It's interesting that he only made his debut in 2003 (he was 24) and has only played 97 games in NRL. Regardless of his age, injuries permitting he should still have plenty of miles left on the clock.
