I'm not sure, we had very similar problems under smith at times. Maybe the main players are more suited to the particular gameplan

For an example of what a half back can do behind a dominant pack look at Matty Smith tonight. Hasn't played with that team for 2 years, been lagnuising with 2 basement teams and looked like the best half back Saints have had since Long's pomp.

Matty Smith is a good player but he's no Burrow and if Burrow were in that structure, behind a pack that dominant there would be no drama. As it is he and Danny have to come up with big off the cuff plays which, luckily for us, they both do better than anyone.
