Has he messed the club about? was it his fault for not being able to join us last year? (apart from him committing the offence in the first place)

He's been injured a lot but injuries are injuries nothing you can do about that but when he has played he's looked very good and not shown any lack of commitment.

I'm sure homesickness is not nice for a young single lad halfway around the world although I do agree he should "man up" for just one year and as for not honouring his contract well nobody held it against lee Smith who was welcomed back with open arms.

An on-form, fit and firing Greg Eastwood is very much a patch on Ellis.

The most disappointing thing is that he's had ample opportunity to set the record straight since these rumours about homesickness etc started appearing, yet he's left it to McLennan to come out with some platitudes about how hard things have been for him. It smacks of disinterest and disrespect to the club and its fans IMO.

On Greg, everyone makes decisions that are uncomfortable or misunderstood by others, he maybe going through a difficult time personally and needs to look after his own needs. He may not be the brightest lad and doesnt know how to put these difficulties accross. Maybe he doesnt have to justify himself to the public, only to his employer. Obviously you guys on here have never let anyone down, have always made the right decisions and shown 100% loyalty to your employer and its customers?! No?...

From what i see his is a decent bloke and has given the highest level of committment on the field and to practice, and i would wish him all the best.

Why wouldn't they? He played out his Leeds contract to the last minute and more by sticking around for the four nations .

That he didn't honour his contract at Wasps only adds to my admiration. F**king over a Union club earns him additional brownie points.

His actual playing time has been good quality. He's exactly what Leeds need, an impact back row forward who can come on and make quality offloads and put in big eye catching hits to lift the team at key parts of the game. Ali is coming to the end of his career, and Eastwood would be a natural long term replacement if he settled. One of the reasons why I would be happy to see him play out his contract. All he needs to do is just come out and say he's honouring his contract and will take things from there regarding his future. He could easily get a gig in the NRL anytime after he finishes his contract at Leeds.

I still have no idea why Wasps signed him in the first place.
